And how many of these '24 hours delays' have you managed to oversee in 50 odd seasons that prompted you to say 'usually'? I haven't seen any such delay in almost 30 seasons and your phrasing implies there have been multiple.
I can understand doing nothing for a 2-3 hour delay considering it would be during an unpopular time for most managers (through the night), but 15-16 hours delay seems long enough. So, please do one of 2 things:
1. Transfer the salary money for these players from the users who should have paid it to the users who actually paid them. At the very least if the bid was made before the update was meant to run. Same thing for staff salaries.
If this is too difficult for you or you are too lazy to do it yourself, at the very least allow users to write to a GM who will take care of it issuing fines to rectify the problem
2. Do nothing as you usually -see this is how you use this adverb correctly- do, but at least apologise to those affected.
