But once again the virtual coach is not understanding what words mean. I told them time and time again to strictly follow depth chart, if I actually wanted them to make decisions based on fatigue I would've said coach picks from depth chart. And yet strictly follow apparently means coach picks anyway? Speaking of, I just lost another 4 minutes to the same stupidity this week;

Your PG and PF are playing 48 minutes ... so how did you set the lineup?

This is what has been recommended here before:
PG1 - PG2 - PG2
SG1 - SG2 - SG2
SF1 - SF2 - SF2
PF1 - PF2 - PF2
blank - Trainee1 - Trainee1

PG1 - PG1 - PG1
SG1 - SG2 - SG2
SF1 - SF2 - SF2
PF1- PF1 - PF1
C1 - C1 - C1 (trainee)

In both cases, SF1 randomly subs in for C1. And the fact that it's garbage time in my favour should if anything discourage the coach from doing anything I haven't told them to do, since there's no need to put a better and/or fresher team out there in search of a result.

Did you try:

PG1 - PG1 - PG1
SG1 - SG2 - SG2
SF1 - SF2 - SF2
PF1- PF1 - PF1
blank - C1 - C1 (trainee)

?

I'll try it next time but if that actually 'works' then it's an even bigger bug than I first thought. Blanking a starting position is in effect letting the coach choose who to play there, so if giving the coach more room to decide actually results in them making less decisions, that's in itself a problem with the code.

Yes ... but it is like it is ;-)

Pay attention, this does not work in WOs. Leaving the starting-spot blank open will result in loss of 36 training minutes.

Trainee got subbed out from 1:16 in the 3rd to 0:00, and then again from 2:55 in the 4th to 0:20. It was like the coach was rotating as if the game was still on the line when I was up by 80. Two weeks ago it was the same substitution pattern, from 2:32 in the 4th to end of game whilst I was up 90.
