Ok, thank you. News for me, that guards/wingmen is basicly the same.

Best regards,
Ted

Following up on the question...

I'm wondering if it's actually worth it having less JS/JR pops and no DR/HA for a slight bump in IS. Is there any reason to go for JS forwards instead of guards/wingmen?

Let me rephrase that since you didn't understand my question and gave me a totally irrelevant answer:
Which is better: JS forwards then JR mono, or JS guards/wingmen then IS mono?

Also do take into account that "top level guards" usually go 1v1 forwards (hence also giving them pops in IS)

You should not need the driving & handling of the jumpshot training. You get enough of driving-training itself (it's common to train it early, very many train driving for the first season or two) or with outside-defense and passing.

Yea but it's more of a JR vs IS thing. You don't get JR from JS forwards while you don't get IS in JS guards/wingmen. Meanwhile you also get IS from the driving training you mentioned there. So my question is more of is there any benefit to actually go for forwards over guards?

And you don't?

Your previous reply actually sounded like you don't, which kinda surprised me coz I thought it was a given.

JS Forwards is what i'd go for probably, but it lacks of context, what is the player's height? How many more IS pops you want? How many more JS pops you want? Any other considerations?

That was pretty thought provoking. Based on those questions, I'm assuming:
- a shorter player would benefit more from JR being trained from monorole instead of monorole IS, so JS forwards + JR would be the way to go, but if it's a tall player then you can actually go JS Guards/Wingmen then IS?
- since top level guards have higher IS than JR, JS forwards will be the way to go since you'd have to train both JR and IS anyway, but JS forwards would give you a boost in IS?

Also, I'm assuming forwards should be the smarter choice since you'd probably have jacked up enough of his DR/HA/OD for JR elastics while you don't have the necessary elastics for IS?

I am not sure, but isn‘t that
Guards get JR and a little bit HA and DR
Forwards get IS and a little bit HA and DR
… and wings something inbetween?

Training JS for Forwards might bring some JR but very, very little …
