Share ko lang coach Rad

Jump Shot: legendary Jump Range: stupendous

Inside Shot: wondrous Inside Def.: prolific
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: average Free Throw: legendary (24)

Experience: stupendous TSP: 139 (104 + 35)

Di ko na binanggit pangalan nung player but this player is on the transfer list. Really well built player halos walang weakness for a NT player. Sweldo nito per week is aroud 200k definitely mahirap i-sustain for A DIV 2 team almost impossible for a DIV 3 team. Even some DIV 1 teams aayaw sa sweldo. This is the reason why trainers should coordinate with U21/NT coaches about player building. Example lang, PGs with super high handling affects the salary so much. SGs with Super high JR/JS ganoon din. Every position has a pitfall in terms of salary. Not saying that we dont need the skills to be high but there are tricks (more like thresholds) in every position para iwasan and salaries to balloon. Libre lang naman magtanong. Its really much better to build sustainable players that you can keep as you grow your team.

I think this is the thread where someone mentioned the free skills or skills that cost very little per position meron din nag suggest that it should be overhauled (the salary formulas) but im not sure if and when they will be implemented. I guess my main point also in my previous post was that new and very few old trainers dont comprehend yet the old system. Mas concerned ako sa primary factors not skills that contribute to the salary. As we know nag papalit ang positions based on skill distributions and levels. Therefore the need for colloboration with NT/U21 coaches. Especially with the almost free skills per position. When i started out ages ago walang nag guide sa akin or they just simply did not know enough about it. Confident naman ako sa inyong dalawa na nakaupo kaya i am inviting trainers to collaborate with you guys.

Pilipinas gets past host Lubnan, 89-87

A tightly contested match in Lebanon against the host proved to be a fun one. The last few minutes proved how evenly matched both teams are but, in the end, Pilipinas prevailed and took the W, thanks to two clutch free throws from Fortunato Arcega (6pts, 11rebs, 2asts, 2blks).

The team was led by the triumvirate of Jiffrey Sumalapao (32pts, 4rebs, 6asts), Benson Villarivera (18pts, 5rebs) and Leorio Lovino (16pts, 3rebs, 5asts). The twin towers of Fortunato Arcega and Leandro Toledanes (4pts, 7rebs, 4asts, 5blks) provided the much-needed interior presence against Lubnan's inside offense.

Next week, we will be facing a hungry Kazakhstan team eyeing a spot for the next round of the Asia Cup. Season 41 was the last time they got past the first round.

We seem to be hitting our strides in the right time.

Maraming salamat at laban Pilipinas!

Pilipinas shrugs off slow 1st quarter to beat Kazakhstan, 91-75

Powered by the trio of Leorio Lovino (18pts, 2rebs, 5asts), Benson Villarivera (17pts, 11rebs, 2stls) and Sixto Nical (11pts, 3rebs, 5asts), we were able to overcome a slow 1st quarter managing a 1-pt deficit before going to the break. Fortunato Arcega and Alan Marquese helped anchor our defense tallying 3 blks each. Off the bench, Jiffrey Sumalapao had an efficient 10pts, 2rebs & 2asts in 10 minutes of play. Florentino Olmida (9pts) was also efficient hitting 5-5 from the charity stripe while Augustus Moleno had 7pts and 7rebs to help the team off the bench.

Looking forward to have great GS ulit next week para mas may chance tayo to sweep our group.

Laban Pilipinas!

Pilipinas beats Singapore, 118-98, proceeds to the next round

A tightly contested first half saw team Pilipinas lead by 7pts at halftime. Lahat ng starters ay nakapagtala ng double-digit na puntos plus a fantastic off the bench performance galing kay Benson Villarivera na nagtala ng 14pts, 7rebs at 3asts. Melecio Sidad (23pts, 4rebs, 2stls) and Ericson Regidor (21pts, 2rebs, 4asts) took the scoring load for the team while the frontcourt duo of Pete Libron (12pts, 15rebs, 5asts) and Augustus Moleno (10pts, 14rebs, 2asts) each posted a double-double to help the team out. Dobbie Obillos also contributed with 17pts, 4rebs, 5asts.

Our road to the semis starts here, umaasa ako sa patuloy ninyong pagsuporta sa ating National Team. Hopefully we get to end the season with a medal pero mahaba pa ang tatahakin nating daan patungo roon.

Muli, maraming salamat at Laban Pilipinas!

Pilipinas beat Indonesia again in our second matchup, 93-81

Another 12-pt win, same as our first game against them, against Indonesia in our second round opener. They managed to guess our pace and had more effort but our game shape and enthusiam proved to be too much for them. The team was led by Jiffrey Sumalapao (25pts, 3rebs, 10asts) and Sixto Nical (25pts, 3rebs, 3asts) who combined for 50 of our 93pts. Our big man combo of Fortunato Arcega and Leandro Toledanes combined for 31rebs, 11 of which were from the offensive end.

On Monday, we will be up against Japan who finished their first round table with a 4-2 record and a big win against Australia.

Overall, our game shape looks good naman so hopefully we can pull off another win in the second round.

Pilipinas escapes Japan after a tough 2nd half, 103-88

Quite a scare did the Japanese gave us in the 2nd half of the game. The team led by 11 at the half but a rough 3rd quarter from our boys helped them get the lead down to 4 before the 4th quarter. With 8:07 remaining in the 4th quarter, they managed to take the lead 77-78 which forced us to use our first full time out of the game. The team then went on a run to finish the game and hold Japan to 10pts in the remainder of the quarter to ice the game.

The team was led by Sixto Nical with 23pts, 6rebs, 2asts and 2stls while Fortunato Arcega posted a 19pt-13reb double-double and 3asts. Off the bench, Epifanio Querubin helped provide the necessary offensive spark with 10pts and 5asts in 12mins of play. Special mention to Leandro Toledanes who also had himself a game with 8pts, 11rebs, 4asts and 5blks.

Next week, we will be facing South Korea who will be eager to nab their first win in the second round.

Low scoring win against South Korea, 89-66

Despite the scoring issues on our end, we managed to get the win against South Korea with only 4 players scoring in double figures. Ericson Regidor led the team in scoring off the bench with 16pts & 5rebs. For the starters, Florentino Olmida led the way with 15pts, 4rebs & 2stls while Sixto Nical put up 13pts & 9rebs. Alan Marquese, off the bench, was also instrumental in the win with 11pts, 9rebs & 4blks.

Our next two games, which will be the last two games this round, will be tough. Facing China next week and Hong Kong the following week.
