No one answered (unless someone bbmailed him).

I do think his questions are very hard ones to answer though, because I don't think there is much knowledge if any on the season ticket holders. They aren't impactful/important enough that anyone has ever done a deep dive or study on them likely because it's impossible to calculate how it works exactly, where they sit, etc..

Here's my season ticket history with my main team:

III: 1311 / 1429 / 1482
II: 1952 / 2259 / 2389
EBBL: 3209 / 3646 / 3825 / 3909 / 3954

Most seasons my team has either achieved a similar number of wins or improved a bit, so season tickets have gradually increased over time. Obviously promoting to a higher series has a big impact. A few of the top teams in the EBBL have 4,000-4,100 season tickets, so that's possibly close to the maximum.

With my Utopia team, my season tickets got to about 1,000 in IV but was only gaining about 30 per season at that point. Promoting increased it by 328, demoting after a 0-22 tanking season lost 277.

I don't have any details on the impact on attendance. My guess would be higher season tickets = more attendance (obviously), maybe more stable attendance regardless of results, maybe more impact on the expensive seats. Maybe the TV station affects it?

As EWB says it's mostly ignored as an area of study, because as a manager there's little you can do to improve it. Winning games / promoting obviously, but then we're trying to do that anyway

Thanks a lot. There is little data (very valuable for me) and it does not answer most of the questions, but it is an interesting starting point.

If anyone has more similar information, I would appreciate it if you would share it.

-How and to what extent is the number of subscribers increased?
I don't have all the numbers, but it depends on what you achieve during a season. If you win the league, you get a big boost. Reaching play-offs boosts it as well. See the examples below. Also it seems like that subscribers cap is around 4000.

-How and to what extent can they be lost?
When you demote from the league you lose a lot of subscribers. If I remember correctly, you lose more subscribers by demotion than you win by promotion. I guess if you have very high subscribers amount for the league you are in, but you finish 5-7 place and stay in the league, you can still lose subscribers maybe?

-What effect does the number of subscribers have at the box office?
Subscribers go to every game and pay for the tickets. I give you some examples of my arena income:
Season ; Subs ; average Gate Receipts
62 ; ~2200 ; ~580k
63 ; 3021 ; ~600k
64 ; 3843 ; ~615k
65 ; 3971 ; 642k (only 3 games and beginning of the season you have the winners boost, probably will go down to ~620k)

*From season 62 I have won both titles in Estonia every season
