Jamaica 51-113 England
This game was all about building up as much PD as we could to climb above some teams ahead of us in the standings, so RnG was the obvious choice. Jamaica have played Low Post all season so I could have gone with a double GDP, but they have changed up in previous seasons so decided to avoid it. In the end it wouldn’t have mattered too much, we may have climbed one or two places.
So after finishing 7-1, we finish as low as 13th and will be up against Canada who will be a tough opponent. There were only two unbeaten teams in Germany and Spain, both will fancy their chances to go all the way to the finals.
This is where the fun starts in teams competing for the honour of hosting their next continental championships.
In Europe, the teams who are eligible are as follows:
Germany, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Slovenia, Hungary, Portugal, England, Netherlands, Russia, Bosnia, Turkiye, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Latvia, Sweden, Scotland and Luxembourg.
The eligible teams for the Americas are:
Argentina, Canada, Uruguay, Puerto Rico and Peru.
The eligible teams for Asia are:
Philippines and Japan.
As no African team qualified for the knockouts, the team who finished highest and is eligible will host the next African Championship. South Africa were the highest finishing team but aren’t eligible, so Algeria who was the second highest will host the championships next season.
