How about more assists? Do you find that is helping your team at all?

My explanation to that is that run and gun has a fast pace. Your players are not waiting for a good pass. They're shooting at the first opportunity. However, I do not have the experience to say for sure. My team has never had a great offensive flow.

I would guess that if you played a lower pace that you would see more assists.

It works like that because more patience = more/better ball movement = more passes whereas run and gun is bringing the ball over half court asap and getting quick shots off.

i think we cant argue this in a one dimensional approach,

i just said assist as an example, since the topic is about offensive flow meaning other things than shooting and driving skills could be beneficial in games played,

as i can say its again depends on your offensive tactic vs their defensive tactic plus the overall skill of each on how they run it!

i had one game that i played run and gun, but it seems on that game my guards were checked and guess what my center became the unsung hero scoring for me.

but as i said it benefits to have a center who can dominate inside as well as a good passer as well as having a point guard who can rebound and have decent blocking skills. sometimes in the game you would see results your happy with.

I do get a lot of assists but i dont have any top 10 assist maker... I guess because when you tran handling this also increases driving so I would imagine that as your offensive flow gets better so does your players ability to score unassisted as well via their own drives...

I don't find flow too offensive - and it's only a few days once a month after all.

Are there not events where a player gets a good pass and still drives to the basket?

If not, I think it would make sense for both skills to work in tandem. Sure, sometimes a player could go to the basket with only his driving skill. Other times the player would just need a good pass. But don't you think that in most cases you would need a combination of both skills?

I would like to see the engine take this into account. So a player that is amazing at driving could get a mediocre pass and turn it into a score + an assist.

Are there any players out there who get more than 10 assists on a regular basis?
