No. The coach will chose from the entire pool of dressed players when using Let Coach Decide option. You only have to dress 5-12 players for the game.

No what?

I said:
Try using Strictly Follow Depth Chart instead of Let Coach Decide.

Try using Strictly Follow Depth Chart instead of Let Coach Decide. The coach will replace your starter if he decides that one of his substitutes is better fit for the position.

But to the point of not even starting the players that I choose? Isn't that a little extreme? What's the point of making a line-up with "let coach decide" then? If it is like you say, then it would be the same as just dressing up 12 ppl and not making a lineup at all, then the coach would pick whatever he wants, but I don't think it's that extreme, or is it?

That's why you have the intermediate option, Coach Picks from Depth Chart, which is somewhere in between the two.

I know after reading many off your posts on the forums that most likely you are going to go into defensive mode (smiles), but if you pick "strictly follow depth chart", the coach will not pick the best player for the position but mostly and foremostly use the players that you picked as starter for that position. I know this for sure because I always use this option (else I can´t train 6 players every week), and secondly many games I started the game with not the best player due to minutes per week issues and had my best player on the bench and always my starter plays atleast 24-30 minutes for that game. Even if he is a lot worse than your bench player. Not only in this case, but also when you are points ahead and the coach decided to play all your subs etc with "let coach decide", as someone wrote in another thread can be very annoying, it barely happens using strictly follow depth chart... (frankly I have never seen it happen yet for me)

Instead trying to psychoanalyze me, it might have paid to read a little more carefully, maybe?

The problem:
I have listed him as starter for the past 2 matches, and he hasn't played.

The likely cause:
The coach will replace your starter if he decides that one of his substitutes is better fit for the position.

The solution:
Try using Strictly Follow Depth Chart instead of Let Coach Decide.

He will not pick the subsitute if he is better fit for the position... I know this for sure because I use strictly follow depth chart and all the things that happen when you pick let coach decide "good or bad things" don´t happen or barely happen.

If you are trying to win games, I wouldn´t choose strictly follow depth chart. I would only recommend it for teams that are building and need training minutes for their players. I can solidly train 6 players every week...

Right. He will pick whoever he think is better when using LCD. Obviously, that's why I am suggesting using Strictly Follow the Depth Chart instead.

Well, I thought that LCD would keep your starters and let him decide when to replace them, but not to completely change your starting lineup. That's why I said that if that's the correct behaviour, sending a lineup with LCD is useless.

yes mate. that is what can happen if you use lcd. If you are 30 points ahead, it can happen that the coach replaces all your starters and i even have seen people loose the game because their back up players werent that good.
