Maybe its just me, but in the past my players have been fine up to 80 mins. After that it's harder to gain but usually maintain. Over 90 is usually when you can expect a drop, but its not certain. 100+ seems to be an almost certain drop.

So, based on that history, I'm surprised that 2 players have been just under 100 and had a massage trainer but still both dropped 2 levels. If I manage minutes a little better I hopefully won't be testing this again in awhile. But, if you start a player in two games and he doesnt sub very often, it's pretty easy to get at or near the 90 mark.

I hired a massage doctor (ok, he is level 4) but I feel like form got considerably worst comparing to former seasons. I dont't know if something in form was changed by the BBs, but what I am sure is that my massage trainer have been kind of useless until now. I am thinking seriously of going back to a doctor level 5 without any skills.

i have a player who played 82 min` and got 8.5 rank at the last game...

i wonder how i wonder why his game shpe fell down from the very high sky?!?

from 9
he droppd to 7

i have 5 doctor with masage

Game shape is not guaranteed to go up or remain the same. The optimal minutes per week are way below 80 anyhow.

it helped once I guess. Player with 94 minutes didn't drop. Game shape of my players is genreally ok , but this week I experienced a drop after 74 minutes played. So it looks that the while thing is not much reliable. At least in respectable-proficient range.

so far i haven't had any real problems with a doctor with massage. it's actually been well worth the money. i have 10 players at strong to proficient game shape and 2 players that don't have good GS because they don't play. my two centers usually get above 90 minutes so i needed the extra boost. this week my center who got 90 minutes hit proficient GS. i have noticed that it does fluctuate but not once has a player dropped below respectable GS. that includes when a player i had hit 120 minutes (due to injuries i had to play him a ton) he only dropped to respectable from strong.

How do you know this? I'm not saying you are wrong just wondering how you came by this piece of information.

I had a player increase his game shape from respectable to strong while playing 84 minutes last week while another player went from proficient to strong while logging 64 minutes.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

This doesn't answer your question specifically, but I think it's worth mentioning the following excerpt from the rules:

Players who do not play much each week tend to lose focus and their Game Shape will be sloppy. Players who play too much in a week will get tired and their Game Shape will also be low-quality. These changes are gradual, and will build up over a few weeks' time.

So, a player's game shape one week isn't just determined by his playing time in the previous week. As for the optimal number of minutes, I would guess somewhere in the 48-72 range, but I don't actually know.

Thanks.

I almost never have problems with PT but I was in the BBB this year (got trounced) and had two injuries which have wreaked havoc on my PT rotation.

Allegedly, the BBs have gone on record in the conferences saying that the optimal amount of minutes is 60-65.

My observations are that having your guys play 80 or 35 minutes will not necessarily hurt your game shape too much, but it might take a dent -- and therefore it's hard to maintain high strong or proficient form while playing 80 minutes on a regular basis.

Everyone is free to take all this with a grain of salt -- I certainly do, but the truth is somewhere close to that, and it's the best info that I can offer at this point.
