See, now that's costing you around 264-320k more a season. So if you can pay 250k for a guy who's anywhere from 17-22k then you'll save money next year.

well i dont think you are that good at math. having a coach that earns 30k per week at the end of season means that you will loose 160k per season (if you had an 20k/week coach). So unless you pay for that guy less then 160k then its worth it. In case of the guy that you commented on its 16x14k so its less then 224k and thats not even near
costing you around 264-320k more a season

I always wonder why people insert unnecessary snide remarks when they post in the forums. People may miscalculate or believe something that isn't true but there is just no need for slating them it and it actually makes reading the forums feel like i'm back in high school.

I don't mean to single matod out and it's by no means a 'select few' that write these things but honestly. Come on...

I agree wholeheartedly with Calum here. Nearly all of us have miscalculated or simply been a little confused about various BB "stuff." There are many brand new managers, with more starting every day, who need to know that the BB community is helpful and courteous...Pappy

Your math isn't quite right either: if your current trainer earns 30k a week, and you replace him with a 20k a week one, the savings will be about 130k over the next 14 weeks: you'll pay about 160k (assuming we are talking about both lvl. 5's) less in weekly salary, but your old trainer wants 30k extra when you sack him..

I hope this helps you plan when to replace your current trainer.

and the 2% growth differential a week on $20k vs $30k will add a little more as well ;-) or is that take off a little more?? perhaps someone can clarify.. do 2 negatives = a positve??!!

Well, that's taken into account: a trainer that starts out at 20k will make 320k in wages over 14 weeks, while a 30k trainer will make 480K (hence the initial 160k difference over 14 weeks and not 140k). But thank you for pointing out my post didn't have enough information on how I came to these numbers! I hope this clarifies it :)

Dude, that's pretty bad. When i need a pair I make it coincide with a trip to the USA and hit the outlets that are scattered about in the middle of nowhere. (I'm for Scotland btw). But jees, the exchange rate now make that approach even worse. I think i'll just have to do without new shoes......or my frequent trips to the US. haha.
