Missing my Reserve Center is really beginning to sting. It was only a 3 week injury, but with a 1-rated doctor it really is crawling by (I can't afford the wages of the doc on offer).

Oh, I dream of the days when I can lavish medical attention upon my players

Is the injury weeks ... real life weeks.. or is it 1 game is 1 week.

A week is a week - but it may be only an estimate (and perhaps is rounded). I have a 20 YO player who had a 4-week injury, two weeks ago, and still shows 3 weeks. The first week I had the cheap starter doctor, and couldn't afford the doctor that was offered (a "9"). Hopefully, it will go a little better with my current doctor a "6").

hmm... i have a player who got injured for 7 weeks. Isn't that a bit much? Unless he's planning to remove his leg and replace it with a bionic one and needs time to recover, or he tried to dunk and shattered his spine...
Seriously, 7 weeks is a long time. In game that's half a season. Which means about 6 months real time? Even a broken leg doesn't need 6 months recovery time.

That is easily within the bounds of realism.

There are many injuries that require 6 months or more to heal, such as knee ligament injuries.

I would say based on my on-his-death-bed center that 1 week injury = 1 week real time with a basic starting 1-rating doctor.

Fairly common. Elton Brand and Adam Morrison are two NBA examples, both out for the season.

Let's say there were only two players all season in the NBA that this happened to (it's not).

That would mean 1 out of every 15 teams would have a player suffer a season-ending injury.

That would be 1574 human-controlled teams in the world.

pull a hamstring and see how long it takes to get back to full speed. robert Horry has been out the entire month of November due to such.

or a high ankle spain, or a soft tissue tear

anyways, I have a young player who has a 10 week injury. good thing he is the sub
