I will probably be giving my vote to beanerz. On a previous sports MMORPG site that we both played he owned a team that was extremely successful and made it to the highest ranked league.

Apologies to the other candidates for my bias

Thanks Weather! The days of The Durham Odyssey, that was fun...

We're still going strong. Our dots are about 240 days old now, so maybe 4 seasons before we can make it back to World League.

The game still sucks though and I don't intend on spending any more money on it.

The greatest of all time.

]You disgust me with your show of good faith and overall positive outlook.

whoa there i hope that was sarcasm >_< I vow as NT manager to take the best 2 out of every position instead of the best 10 Canadian players I am taking the top 2 of each position as then the team will have more balance and hopefully get rid of some weak spots we have

oh and im changing my vote from head paper pusher to GM-Beanerz

Is your suggestion that myself, RIP and others have created unbalanced teams in the past?

no that was not in any way meant to suggest that if anything i think that what your self, GM-RIP and others have created are Amazing( idk about others I am sure Canada had some bad seasons in the past) i am just saying what i am going to do if elected that way the public knows how I am going to pick
P.S. GM-RIP http://www.images5.cpcache.com/product/31485585v3_480x480...

Here's a question I have for everyone. What are your views on using U21/NT roster spots for saving players during the season? You may reference past results, base your answer on predictions about future teams, or draw a penguin out of smiley faces.

I think as time passes more and more teams will try to train U21 players and ignore NT becuase an NT player would be a burden on their economy( depends on what league they are in and arena size) and will most likley stick to training 18-21 year olds
in a more balanced way.
I think that it is only a good idea if it is a player who is Worth it and if it is earlier in the season, i personally will not save some allstar+ 5500 salary guy if it is the last week of the season
Since penguins out of smiley faces is too hard here is
my attempt ata a bunny out of smiley faces:

[---(= _ =)-----]
[--(:)::::::(:)---]
[---(:::::: )-----]
[---( B:) B:)-----]

Welcome to the mix. I want to start out by saying I think it is great that you are running and wish you the best of luck.

I do have a few questions for you based on your limited experience.

1) Do you think it is realistic for such a new manager to manage the NT? Why?

2) Wold it be a challenge for you to give build advice to managers with 10 times your experience?

3) What three skills do you think a SFthat hopes to make the NT should have?

Cheers and please don't take the questions the wrong way, they are meant to help you answer some of the questions that many Canadian managers are likely thinking.

1) I think that as long as you know what lineups to set how to scout your opponent and how to manage enthusiasm and how to pick players then i think that you should be able to attempt to become NT
2) I think that it would be a challenge to build advice to managers who have more experience than I Have. But if i do give any bad advice they would probably correct me( unless we both do not know the answer then we will both get to learn) then i will learn a lesson :).
3) thats a tough one because it Depends on the type of SF, if the said SF is outside Oriented then a little bit of everything but with OD JS and JR being slightly higher same thing for Inside oriented SF except instead of OD JS and JR being the top 3 it would be IS ID and DR for Balanced I say everything but with a slight focus towards ID OD and either Handling or passing

Hey Griffin,

Glad to see you in the running.

I have a question that is really pressing and surely will be a reason people vote. What do your names mean?

Head Paper Pusher- Are you a receptionist?

Griffin- Please tell me this is not after Kathy Griffin from dancing withthe stars.

Future NBA Hall of famer- How do you have time for BB with the heavy schedule of practices, games, media events and addending those famous whore houses?

Serious part- What are all of your plans for the teams guards? In particular the PG position?

Figured I should answer my own question. Obviously I can only base this off my limited access to the current builds of the players and at this point I have no knowledge if the players are or are not still being trained.

Point Guards

Michel Picard- Appears to be the teams leading candidate to start at PG. The guy is a true PG and will likely play that role.

Sylvain Milot- Not sure where Milot slots in. As I have not seen his build as of late. Obviously this player has an owner who understans what it takes to be a NT player so I anticipate Milot easily being part of the top five guards on this seasons team.

Stephen Pushkin- Tough to say that he is a shoe in, but with his experience he will be making a strong pitch to be back. I am pretty sure that he is no longer training so his days are definetely numbered.

Shooting Guards

Jabir Issa- After struggling to score early last season Jabir finished the season on a heck of a role. His team has recently returned to Naismith and Mr. Issa Will be looking to put a stamp on the season. No question he is leading the group of SG's that will be battling for jobs.

Ed Matthews- Mr Versatility. Ed has and will continue to play on the NT, the big question will be if he plays at PG or SG. In my opinion it will all depend on the tactic used and the opponent.

Robert Lakie- Have never seen the build but based on his ratings and performance I think he has a very bright future with the team.

Overall my plan would be to carry 4 or guards depending on there overall builds and the tactic I thought would be most benificial to them. As Chris has mentioned previously the team will likely only start with 10 players so picking the top 4 will be a tough and very instrumental decision. My group will start with Issa and Picard, the other two players will be picked based on the training plans of there managers but I have a pretty good idea of who I would pick.

What about you guys?

In all honesty, when I joined the game, it asked me 3 different names to enter, and 1 of which I entered hggriffin, 1 was Griffin, and 1 was Herman Griffins. The reason behind all of them is the high school I attended at the time, the Herman Green Griffins (hence the hg for herman green). It is pretty stupid now though, as my team name, my manager name, and my login are all basically the same thing lol. At some point, I'll probably be changing the names.

For the guards, I'd have to see everyone's skills, but for sure I'd start out with Picard starting. I would probably bring up Sylvain Milot because he will eventually become a part of the team midseason anyways, but I'd have to check over everyone's skills first. At SG, obviously Issa has his spot, and I'd have to see the progression everyone else has made to see who else should make it. At SF, I'd obviously have Abbott, and to be honest, I'd probably lean toward Essa more than Wendon because they are basically identical, and Essa is still improving.
