SBBL at a glance...midway of Season 15...

Great 8
1. Cheesecake
This season, Cheesecake enjoyed their finest performance, staying steadily at #1 position on division Great 8. Playing great outside game and excelled defensively, Cheesecake lead SBBL league in W-L record at 16-2. Justins Linde-Liepinš leads the team with 22.4ppg. Vincenc Katić, team best shooter, is second with 21.9ppg. Viktor Šrámek, their latest wingman star acquisition, booked solid all-around game with 19.6ppg, 5.3rpg, 3.7apg, 1.3spg. But the main reason for Cheesecake to stay strong were the hardwork of their two blue-collar guy, Rafael Vázquez & Felip Massana. Vazquez only averaging 5.9ppg but 12.3rpg, 3.2apg, 0.5spg and 2.4bpg undoubtly made him one of the best defender on SBBL. Felip Massana also has similar line, averaging 9.3ppg, team high 18rpg and 1.5bpg. Local hero, Tan Kim Wai, playing the reserve role, averaging 14.6ppg and 4apg in 24mpg. If cheesecake keep their game ballin, no doubt they will be the one that appearing on SBBL Final.

2. Pekanbaru Jaguars
Another hottest team on season 15. Recruited tons of wingmans, with combination of strong defensive-minded and sharpshooters in Thiseas Chantampakis (18.1ppg, 1.3spg) , Petrus Debrier(15ppg 4apg 1.3spg) and playmaker Sorin Niculae (21ppg 7.5apg). But Jaguars has to sacrifice Richard Ericsson, who has 4 season tenure with Jaguars and has been their main scorer for past 3 seasons. Aside of new acquisitions, Jaguars this season still led by the phenomenal play of Petrus Alexandersson (15ppg 20rpg 1.2spg 1.2bpg), who leads the SBBL in rebounding per game. Longest tenure veteran, Seki Skrebo, still hanging on with Jaguars, averaging 11.6ppg 3.5apg. Aside of fabulous foreigners, SGP U21ers Huo Xiang Song often being forgotten because of his modest 9ppg and 8rpg. His dirtywork and willingness to guard opposite star player has loosen up Petrus Alexandersson burden on the paint. One of Jaguars problematic issue is, the health of their key squad. Petrus Debrier and Chantampakis has combined 28 of injury days. Jaguar suffered 2 straight L when Chantampakis was nursing his right ankle.

3. Fat Alexander
The most consistent team performer in IBBL, offensive and defensively. Fat-A always made into at least Playoff Semifinalist in past 4 seasons. Gianpaulo Montecucco (24ppg 5apg), Yeo Tse Hui (24ppg 5apg 22spg), Noel Gimenez Guerra (13ppg 13ppg 2bpg), Evgenios Chaikalis (20ppg 7rpg 6apg), Amilcare Ricci (15ppg 11rpg), all of these 5 starters have already played like superstars and getting know to each other very well. This season, Fat-A has slowed down a bit due to sudden emergence of Cheesecake and Pekanbaru Jaguars, but for sure, the GM's will always pull some triggers for some surprising player shopping. Expect them to bring one more star to this team before playoff begins.

4. Birds Birds
Team that always have trademarked with strong Inside Def, still showing some power on this season thought of Great 8 teams emergence. Wilfried Hatterwüsting undoubtly the SBBL best bigman defender aside of cheesecake's Rafael Vazques and with Julio Vasco (20ppg 12rpg) alongside him, Birds Birds has the best twin towers here. Chinese shooter Wei Chunyao lead Birds with 20ppg, wingman Alfredo Erquiñigo has 17.4ppg and 7reb, and Alex Szanto has 17.6ppg and 5ast. The setback of this team is, threatened to be left by their owner by next week.

Nice write-up! Great 8 is stronger this season, maybe can break the Big 8 champion streak.

I love the write-ups too. Maybe something like this can be done to preview the playoffs when the match-ups are decided. It would add some additional excitement into the forum and SBBL in general

Great 8
5. Compassvale United
A longtime participant on SBBL League, Compassvale United still hanging around this league, although has already shown a step back from their glory moment, back to the days of Golden Challenger's era. Known their twin tower of Dimitri Grandi & Mërkur Hyskaj. Now Grandi has been sold by the team, and the new era of CU now with the aging Hyskaj towering on the middle with 9.4ppg and 11.8rpg and young Chinese Pun Cheng Li (9.7ppg 8.3rpg). British Shaun Russell-Lee lead the team with 18.6ppg and 4.5reb and old guns Richie Murrieta with 17.5ppg. But recently, the team has just brought in an Italian playmaker Giovanni Dushku (16ppg 7.8apg 4rpg), with hope could still hang on longer on SBBL. Currently CU has 4W 15L and sitting in 5th place of Great 8, seems like this team is done for the playoff chase as they won't be able to catch up the team above them (Birds Birds 12W 7L).

6. Crystal Chambers Cavaliers
The master of Motion/RnG game. Always loaded with full ranges of snipers, notably the SGP best SG, NT Yip Kum Jian (25.6 ppg), Lin Hongsong (16pp 5.4rpg) and recent addition of Suomi's Ville Valtasalo (20ppg 4apg). On the paint, CCC were patroled by Pavle Milijaš (8.6ppg 11rpg), Tian Yuguang (14ppg 4rpg) and Juan Carlos Gotia (5.7rpg) from the bench. The cons of this team is on their defensive ends, which often gave up above 100 pts to their opponents. The good ones is on their new grown up local sharpshooter with some defensive ability, Chan Teck Yao. He was selected to U21 due to his scoring ability and improved defensive plays. This season, CCC has 4W and 15L as well, and will be fighting with the Compassvale United to avoid the Relegation battle with the strong Big 8 teams (Eric United, Whampoa) .

7. SLZH
New Joiner of SBBL league. Still adapting on the SGP no.1 league, but already have those troops that could lift the team to another level. Led by sharpshooter Béla Gorbói (20ppg), Aleksander Galbarczyk (17.5ppg), bigman superstar Alejo Estoya (13.3ppg 11rpg) & Timóteo Esquerdinha (14ppg 13rpg). Zlatan Eltrin comes off the bench to averaging 17ppg for SLZH. The team has just make a roster shakeup again, bringing in Chinese veteran Gao Bingde (21ppg 3.5apg 7rpg) and the Aztec's Rajon Rondo, Eldegez Abilov (18ppg 7apg 8rpg). This season SLZH most likely will take place on the relegation spot. If the team able to survive, expect them to make some noise on SBBL next season.

8. Magnifico
Once the SBBL long tenure, and most competitive Running n Gunning team with a deep rosters of team players, Magnifico has decided to revamped all of their rosters, selling out all of their A level cores. The scoring leader now is 20years old Yip Kaiyan (15.8ppg) and Marko Muhanovic (12.5ppg and 9rpg). Jackie Kellers is their middle man with 7.8ppg and 12.9rpg. This season Magnifico is sitting winningless on the bottom of standing, and will be heading down to the Division II to build up their new identity.

was stunned as well when saw the CT. Supposed to melt down when my bigman was fouled out.
Perhaps because of the home court adv.

Seems you'll need some TIE games before start the playoff...

Guys,

The Birds Birds has already left us. I hope one day he will comeback here using a newborn team.
Now his players are on the market. Do bid them if your team need bigman.
