I put my PG/SG in C position, Big man guards him and he takes 90% field goals and shoots almost all points. I play my league game right now and my opponent plays just like that. He scored 30 already (team have 35!!) wtf??? This tactic is unreal and we all know it, but nohting has changed when this problem was discovered.

The problem here is less about patient and more about defensive assignments. (204488.1)

It's the result of poor training options which has been a problem since BB was beta. Defensive assignments were added as a patchwork/duct tape solution to the issue.

I agree the whole defensive matchup thing needs to be relooked at especially how you can currently play your SG at C to exploit the weak OD of the C and at the same time have that SG play defense as a SG.

I get the whole training argument for it but seriously...why should you be credited with the skills when you only play offense at the position and not defense...i find this a big flaw.

Can someone please answer this?
Does patient only find the player with the worst OD and best JS and that person scores the most? Or can it be done with a good IS and bad ID?

Well, i used patient when i was in the 2nd league and that is the tactic that made me a champion eventhough I was the underdog. One weakness of this offense is the 3-2zone defense. I mean the scorer of this offense most likely shoot on mid-long range.

In what basketball league ever would a team allow Derrick Rose to be guarded by Bynum for one possession

Search for a youtube video called something like "NBAs best anklebreakers" and see what happens when these mismatches do occur.

And more on topic. While the game forces you to train your PG at C to get any IS or ID, patient is a critical tactic so that those games aren't automatic losses.

That's part of the game, if you play 3-2 and the opponent plays LI you can't change it, it's part of the strategy.

By the way i don't know why you want to remove 1 tactic that if you know how to use it, you can play it as an outside tactic.

And it's 'easy' to counter it, play outside-box and your best defender will defend m2m the outside player on the PF or C position.
