Buying a top prospect for loads of cash and spending one of your two training spots on that player for multiple seasons... The alternative cost for that investment is huge, don't you think?

The point is to train an unique player out of him; a player you can't find on open market or that doesn't exist at all. With such starting skills, you can create something you otherwise can't (for example, high JR skill on a big man or high SB on a guard). These unique skills usually take too much time to develop, unless they start at 6 or 7 like in this case.

I agree with your points but the kicker is . in real life they get to see this player and try him out. knowings actually if he has the skill and worth the million they are backing him with not some random fiction number like they do here. Ths part is the part that I have a problem with. Its not right you give b+ player and skill are shot.. Its not what I pour money into the draft for.

The draft would be better if you actually search players out that you wanted in real time. put us on the clock, Players in the game have certain skills they are good at. It can set like the market with ranking skills. what you saved for the drft is what you can use, you see actual skills and ability and progress.

To me that's the kicker and improve ment area.. Not just he played versus team in top and skills are shot. Show me his actual college or stats skills and how much he can progress.. What are his strong skills in small,

Just because is worth 2500 don't mean he is trash because if I like his strengths then, I can use him for something. If all he has is blocks and rebs it very good. Its not waste of talent because I might need that.

Or don't use it every season. I would say 40k is money thrown out of the window, but 10k over three seasons is a good choice.

So if you choose not to use your draft points, they will carry onto the next season? Just want to verify before I go ahead and do this.

Yup, Your drafts points never expire, you can accumulate them Season after Season and use them when you feel like it.

Reduce draft to 2 rounds(like NBA) and make 19 yr old players have better skills(on average) than 18 year old players. This alone would make a huge impact, IMO.
