Even though these changes, even you seem not to understand need for SB at all positions. It is free for guards just like IS and if we are going to change the balance people need to train SB on guards IMO.

Yeah I was already at 130+ TSP for my guards though and I wanted the builds to be realistic. I think SB on all positions has potential to be very interesting though.

I disagree on a few things.

First off: Your guards only have 16-17 JS and I think that in order to overcome the high levels of OD they will be facing their shooting skills needs to be closer to 19-20.

Second: You said that the bigs need to have a balance of IS. Inside teams succeed while punting JR down to 8-9. I think if Outside teams are to succeed then they must make a similar cut but on IS to clear salary space. I gave my SF some IS to be a driving threat because he can get it at a much lower cost than the others can and had the TSP space for it.

The problem that is bigger than all of this is just that the builds me and you are suggesting are simply not available on the transfer market. I got my big Paul Isar close to the big build I was suggesting, but with worse secondaries and only 13 RB and he sold for 5.55 million. They are a rare comodity.

Seems like the biggest dispute between my ideal and yours is passing.

From the Game Manual:
Passing: Helps to create good shots (and get assists). Bad passing can also lead to turnovers.

The first part, "creating good shots" I think can be addressed by the work that GM-hrudey is doing. He's basing his team off of data gathered by wozzvt who put together the advance stats tool that used to be on the USA-Offsite. Baically what the data shows is that in the BB engine there are often a lot of teams and players that shoot better when they are being guarded rather than taking open shots.
As far as getting good shots, I don't think passing is the key. I think being a good shooter is the key.

The other half is, in my opinion, the more concerning part. That is that low passing leads to turnovers. I think, however, that KK-Mordors experience winninig the B3 with abysmal passing should be evidence enough that teams don't necessarily need it to compete.

Mordors players all had very high HA though that is a component that helps prevent turn overs.

Yes, exactly! I think handlng alone is enough for good O-Flow and turnover prevention. That's why those ideal guards I built earlier had high HA but I left the PA to a low level to allow growth in other areas.

I think players who shoot better guarded are exploiting mismatches, and that goes to getting your team to shoot at certain positions.

I think generally the mismatches help, but I also had a guard who had the highest JS on my team for most of his almost four seasons, who consistently shot a much higher percentage on contested jump shots than on uncontested ones (something like 55% on contested vs. 45% vs. uncontested). This wasn't a case of a guy playing out of position either, nor was it something that only occurred against lopsided competition. Now that the offsite's advanced stats are dead, I can't get exact numbers any longer, unfortunately.
