Players in bots teams have a flag "Nations of Africa".
Will rookies next season or new team's players get the same flag?

Last season, I was in SA league 1 and finished 4th (15W-7L).
I should have stayed in league 1 if there had been no merge.
Will my fans happiness and the arena's attendance drop?
I think it's not logical to be hurt as if my team was demoted. After all it's not my fault!

I suggested they did a reverse utopia: all start in D1 (maybe you needed 3 such divisions) then in the second season you make a single D1 from all the teams who had better record or won their league, while the rest go into D2. I think it would have been easier on you guys.

Teams leaving is probably inevitable. But I think the mergers will give micro teams a more competitive environment, which in the end will make more teams stay, simply because competitive games are more fun.

I agree with this. I've also said the BBs should be looking at creating a situation where people are competing in similar sized leagues, by which I mean a much smaller number of leagues of similar sizes, whether they be nations or regions.

And I don´t agree with both of you ;-)

For me it seems that more long-time-manager leaving BB now (after the demotivating Micro-Nation-Debate) than in the last 5 years.

The "competition point" is understandable and OK .... but it´s the only point!

Many Manager promoted this point very loud an vehemently. But don´t forget that many manager don´t like or are not able to communicate in english.
On the other hand is the point "UTOPIA" But don´t forget that many manager are not in Utopia because of the competition. They just want to develop players for their Home-Nation-NT. Therefore for me Utopia isn´t a real good point for merging nations.

So, truly it´s a fact, that nobody can say what will happen ... but many manager say so ... especially the loud ones ;-)

I don't care about Utopia, I really don't, and I wouldn't use it as an example of anything.

People have been leaving ever since I first signed up for the game. So it would be possible to argue that my arrival is why people are leaving. (Perpete might like that one.) I disagree however. I think there are many reasons people leave. I don't claim mergers will stop people leaving. I'm not convinced anything will.

Can't argue with that at all. I actually started looking at factual numbers of people leaving just because people were speaking so loudly. If I am one of those loud managers now, then I'm very sorry indeed. :-)

I think there were one or two users who left for other reasons, so you're off the hook. ;)

(Actually, I just wanted to point out my personal appreciation that you're not falling into the fallacy of assuming that X feature/bug/situation that you're displeased with is the cause of people leaving. I of course expect sound reasoning from you, so I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still nice enough that it actually spurred me to post.)

Didn't notice anything in the news post about the draft. Does that mean the draft will be the same for an entire continent as it is for a country? Does it seem fair that one or two countries in Africa might be lucky enough to get an NT viable trainee and the others will likely have to make do with lesser potentials? Seems completely wrong to me.

They need to do something about the draft right now. Not next season or the following.

It would be pointless to have nations without viable or decent players, come on.

Use FA or something, but do introduce into the game some trainees from micronations and specifically for the nations those that are merged. People can pay for them, if they want, at market value, I don't see any problem arising except some FA will be better than others. So agree on the rules (maybe 8 or 9 Potential and 46-52 TSP for 18yo and 56-62 for 19yo) and randomly pick 4 undrafted players for each merged nation to go in FA.
