sometimes they gain a level

This has never happened, to my recollection.

Plus, I think the new system is fairly realistic, if you consider that in most firms and organizations it is normal for employees to receive periodical wage increases.

I think I've read somewhere that this happened, but I don't remember where and maybe I got it wrong.

Periodical wage increases are realistic, yes. But not monthly or weekly. Every six or three months maybe. Plus it depends a lot on the firm and organization. A sports association will combine such raises with the success the club has. As a coach for example you can not have a raise when the team you are coaching is descending. It's not justified and totally out of question isn't it?

I would say totally out of question is an overstatement, but I can see the grounds for your argument.

I have gone on the record tolerating stretching realism for the sake of gameplay, so I guess we can agree to disagree.

Well I'd love to be your accountant...

1mil.... lets say you get a seasons value out of him.. thats 70k per week.. plus his wage.. thats 103k (without increments) so lets average it out at 105k. (and this is probably lowballing it.)

So thats 80-85k a week more for a guy that is going to add how many extra skill levels to your trainees? (that are probably depreciating in value or should I say appreciating more slowly due to the new levels of deflation caused by the influx of cash into the new staff system)

Dude, you are actually bringing facts, numbers and rational thinking in the game, you do realize we can't have that, don't you?

:)
