Mate, I know what jump range is. But don't you think jump range is the best thing we have to determine dunk contest winners out of all of the skills?

I think a mixture between height and FG %. (you still get small foo's like Robinson but hey)

Well height is weird because there are the Nate Robinson's and there are the Dwight Howard's. But FG% is mostly shots correct?

Yeah, inclusive of dunks. I recon that the best inside players have the highest FG% of everyone. And would likely be the best at dunking (with likely high IS). Height's really got nothing to do with it.

No attribute should be taken into account. It should all be based on performance (mins played, and fan base) like the other ASW stuff.

I think FG% would be number 1 indicator.

can someone explain here what does jump range means here in bb,

because if you see basketball training, there is this part wherein they train how high you can jump. there is a pole with a couple of inidcators on top of it wherein you how many you touch and shows how high you jump.

lastly the word jump range, already means jump + range = now by definition of basketball from what i know its how high your vertical jump is.

the better jump range the better your jump shot is,why ? imagine when you shoot the ball on a jump shot if you dont have the legs for you to elevate then the tendency is you will throw the ball or shoot the ball hurriedly.

the point of an effective jump shot is to be able to release it at best on the tip of your jump that enables you to have a motion that you are comfortable to be able to shoot properly with a nice arc. now in basketball the more motion you need for to be able shoot the better your JR is needed.

now whether its a fade away or a quick release or a set motion shot its all comes to a common thing, how did you set your feet and how your legs supported you in the motion for you to shoot. easy to say its jumping.

the way i understand this in bb, the better JR you have the more your player can do aside from mastering or getting better at the simple things of shooting the ball with range.

lastly, i couldnt imagine if someone would translate JR as lenght and not height. its like your guy shoot the ball before the 3 pt line and landed over and pass the 3 pt line and his asking that its a three.

by this definition no wonder a player can shoot very well, as he is getting near the rim better.

just making people laugh, if it wasnt funny. ill take it back

I think I am going to print this thread out, and read it every morning. I know my day will start out good :)

And I did take away some of my players drivers licenses since they are pitiful at driving.
