I really don't think daytrading has any impact on the simulation whatsoever..

I know you like to think that. You like daytrading.

I like the B'ball sim, therefore I hate daytrading because it pollutes the game. How daytrading looks depends on your point of view. We disagree because our points of view are 180 degrees different.

... it would dilute programming resources devoted to the basketball sim, diverting them to something irrelevant to the b'ball sim. The basketball sim seriously needs their full attention.

Maybe your right that it would dilute programming resources, but keeping people interested is not irrelevant.

You know why lots of people shop at wallmart. It's not just because of the low prices. It's because you can buy a can of soup and a tire for your truck at the same time. It's the variety of things that you can buy.
Variety gives people more options and it makes things more interesting.

Seriously, that would in no way help managers somehow learn a game that they couldn't grasp even without all the distractions you propose. It is bad enough that BB hasn't yet been able to corral all the day trading that is so disruptive to the b'ball sim; don't add to the disruption. I think managers who cannot figure out the game need more clear instruction and game documentation, not distractions.

Do you really think that would be that big of a distraction?
I can log on and do everything i need to do in less than 20 minutes a day.
There is not much to this game.
The basic of this game are very easy to learn.

Understanding game documentation only takes you so far in this game.
The experience of making mistakes and understanding what those mistakes are is far more important.
So maybe people need something else to entice them so they stay not quit and learn from their mistakes.

I think the changes they made has stopped quite a bit of day trading (there never going stop all of it), but i also think it has affected normal trading.

I said "irrelevant to the basketball sim."

The basics of chess are easy to learn, too. Would you say of chess, "There is not much to this game," just because the basics are easy? If you stop with the basics of either BB or chess, it is a simple game, with "not much to it." Would you propose adding things that are irrelevant to the strategy of chess so people stay interested in it? Well, maybe you would, since that's how you look at BB, but I would not. I would say go beyond the basics of both games and get the most you can out of both games ... without bells and whistles.

So, looks like you couldn't keep it down anymore and you're back to your old practices: long, borderline offensive posts, thread spamming (of the last 6 posts, 4 are yours) complaining about things we already discussed and explained (the new tax system, to be specific), spreading negativity and your malcontent with the game.

I wonder, how many times are we going to have to discuss the same thing again, over and over... Until you "make" us change the rules to those you'd like best? I must say right away, I don't respond well to that kind of pressure. I've explained the arguments, made my point, you can now either accept things or cool off the forums a bit. No, we won't ban you for that, but I won't hesitate to delete posts if I deem them as unnecessarily inflaming the forum atmosphere or repeating the same thing again and again.

Stick to being constructive, we all know you can do that, and do it well. Don't dwell on the past, move on, accept things, they are not going to change in the short run. Find a way to function within the system without complaining about it and maybe, just maybe, the level of fun you receive from this game will rise. Oh, and most importantly, read the text linked in my sig, especially no.5.
