I just spent a whole lot of time looking through a random country with over 1000 users. In the first 50 divisions (800 teams) the number of teams that had logged on in the last week is well over 70%, which shoots down your 30% real teams theory. In Thailand about 20 of the 39 "active users" are active. Also a far cry from 70% fakes. And I can almost guarantee that none of the bot teams were made nefariously. They are just people who don't speak English very well so didn't continue playing. While I am sure that teams are created illegally, I think the percentage is well under what you claim. I also think that with thousands of players on the TL, this market manipulation you speak of is negligible.

And, to Yellow Cake- to make an asinine statement that these things aren't being looked at by GMs because the GMs want to get good players from farm teams is really really lame.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

It seems someone had their coffee extra BITTER this morning....
First....A farm team and a team quitting, I really can't tell the difference but when the training is stuck on one position OD training and a PF/C is the only one sucking up those minutes, it's kind of fishy.
My point was this, you guys are players, too. You want to win. Are you going to do research on all the F/As...the answer is NO...there is no time to do this with the current staff size. So seeing you guys bid on these super beast, I have no problem with it, you guys(staff) want to win..Why not bid? But if you go back and look at my post, I didn't use the word FARM TEAM once...It is common practice to have players do 2 seasons of Guard stuff and then get sold to another lower div. team to get trained in the Big boy stuff. These teams are active and don't have more than one account. They are trying to make their NT better..No foul...I have even heard of someone in Japan having a PG built by a lower div. Spanish team...Wrong? I don't think so. Do some farmed F/As slip through the cracks..yes, but a lot less than what Wolph was saying.
F/As come out and everybody gets a crack at them...BBs, GM, my uncle who started playing last week, joe blow from where ever....But my point was that F/As are killing the training aspect of the game..Why by a decent player trained by manager X on Saturday when you can wait for the F/A storm on Tuesday-Thursday...F/A's should come out during the offseason...That is what my counter suggestion to wolph's idea was....and for you not to see that that was the point of my previous post was LAME..and instead to attack me..You even use the word Asinine...Not very GM friendly.
Maybe you forgot that this was a public forum..

Maybe you forgot that this was a public forum..I even think that wolph was fined 50K for saying less.
Infact, I was banned from the forums for a month for saying less.

It is not allowed to talk about fines on the public forums.

You know that in fact you´re talking to the one person here that runs every accout beside yours constantly switching between all the accounts so you don´t realize it´s only me in all different clothing all the time, do you?

Back to a question I kept asking over and over without ever getting an answer out of you:

Why don´t you simply propose players below age 22 cannot enter Free Agency? Wouldnt that pretty much solve all your problems?

Zwei Dinge sind unendlich, die Dummheit und das All...

I can answer that for you.. The NT beast would disappear...I see so many beast that get picked up and then the team goes bankrupt and then they go back into the bin so some other fool can pay their 500K salary until they go broke. and almost all NT player are over 22....so there is your answer.

The part of your post that I took exception to was your insinuation that GMs are abetting cheating because it benefits their own teams. Asinine means foolish, silly, or stupid. A perfect word choice, in my opinion.I didn't pay any attention to the rest of your post because of that comment, which I think was not only unfounded but rude and ill-spirited.

I like your counter-suggestion to some extent but think it would cause an even bigger market hiccup with everyone holding on to their cash until the off-season and in-season transfers slowing dramatically, especially for upper echelon players. I have been for eliminating free agents since about season 8, but the developers have decided to allow even more of them beginning next season.

@Wolph- If a team checks in, it is not a bot. How they choose to play the game is up to them. If it doesn't jibe with the way you think everyone should play the game, tough. This isn't a fascist realm in which we are playing. It is an imperfect place, to be sure, but regulating how someone chooses to play is bogus, in my opinion. If I choose to log in once a week, train PG skills for two seasons, and not worry about winning or losing, does that make my team unfair? You also have an inflated sense of what GMs are able to do. And I believe it was you who came down all snide and self-righteous on someone who asked about translation problems- telling them to join in or do it themselves or some such nonsense. You ought to practice what you preach, pal.

I have seen LI, PTB, and 3-2 zone all trumpeted as being too strong for the game at different times. Adapt your training or FA acquisitions to stop LI.

Did I ever say that you guys were allowing cheating in any way? No I did not....So your response to my post is ASININE...And YES, I know what the word means...Thanks for the definition....But really, come on man...re-read my post....My response stated that you guys don't have the resources or time to check the background of all F/A's and that you guys have every right to bid on these beast. Nobody really knows the difference between a farmed F/A and a legit team going bot F/A or even a team going bankrupt F/A..(I guess Wolph can or says he can)...The point of the original post was this....If GM's and BB's are bidding on a F/A, he must be legit right? You guys aren't cheaters or maybe there is no way to tell the difference. So I was responding to wolph by saying, if GM's and BB's can't tell the difference, then how can anybody else and that they aren't going to exclude some F/A's and allow others...It would be impossible to do....
Rude and ill-spirited....I can tell that you had a cup of coffee with Sharman recently...Hang out with snakes and people start to think you are a snake...:P

What you said was this,
"Now, during the bidding I saw many GM's BBs bidding on this free agent. Don't know who got him in the end but as long as you have GM's, BB's trying to better thier teams....These players won't be deleted.

If your original point was what you say, you did a poor job of conveying it. Instead, what you wrote suggests that BBs and GMs don't want to do anything because they benefit from allowing it. Using an ellipsis only heightened the effect. If you didn't mean what was insinuated in the highlighted sentence, okay. I apologize.
