That is the exact issue I face, my team is generally very young, I doubt there is a younger starting lineup in the league, but my two big men imports are old.

Starters
PG 21
SG 20
SF 21
PF 32
C 27

Bench
PG 23
SG 20
SF 31
PF 30
C 24

By next season the 31 year old SF will be replaced by my 18 year old trainee and if I can't win this season (I give myself about 1/8 chance) and the two big import PFs aged 32 and 30 will be replaced. As I have spent the first half of this season training one on one it is great to see so many of my players getting more pops every week including my PG, SG, SF starters and reserve SG. My backup PG has had to switch to SF so I can train the 18 year olds.

I have to admit Kopsas got you to the top of the table so he was doing something right. I too look for cost effective big men. While 4/5 have mediocre or better passing it is no secret if you study the stats that one has similar issues to Kopsas in his inability to pass. On the other hand I have Zhang in the top 10 in both points and rebounds in the league and Lu was there last season. He is also ranked 7th in the entire league in ratings. I now know why Kopsas isn't in the top 10s or top 50s, he looks like he should be, but he hasn't played enough games to qualify, this is why I thought he has been underperforming. 17.5 rebounds would have him second, his 12.0 rating would have him 10th. Not bad really.

Li is 21 7'0" and perennial allstar potential so probably by the end of the season he will be the best big man in the league unless someone else opens up their purse.

I was just making a joke about the Big 3 + Kyoto, if anything it is good, it makes me work harder to gain some more respect. This race will be very close and if you continue to beat me by 1 point or in overtime every time we play that could be the difference in playoff seedings in the end.

Hahaha... good stuff.

Yeah, with my key guys, I tend to only play them 1 game per week. Or make up their extra time in the scrimmage. For example: scoring. The top scorer in the game - by quite a long way - is my SG Ad O'Sullivan: 39.5 ppg. But I don't play him more than I need to.

I hope so on Li. We'll see I guess. He has some holes in his secondaries I need to shore up! But he also has some very nice little bonuses in areas that will make him difficult to deal with. Eventually.

edit: just noted that Kopsas got a 15 rating for me last night - which is the highest rating I think I've ever had for a player. Honestly? Gonna miss him!

another edit: just noticed that I play everyone of the top 4 Big 8 teams at my home arena. That, is awesome scheduling.

Bit of an update on II.1...

Big 8 - not looking so hot, but at least Baikinman's planning with the future in mind, picking up super-trainee Honda.
Only one actual bot at the moment... but Northan00 & Sasimi look headed in that direction. Of a worry: Zenigata hasn't logged on to his team in more than 10 days. Maybe a holiday?

Great 8 - where the power is... it's a shame that in the first round of the playoffs, 2 of the best teams in II.1 will be finished. Still... we're a while away from that.
No bots, but for BC Tiger it's only days away. Pity, because I've never seen a team start with as good a roster as that one. Dragon riders isn't too far behind in "becoming-a-bot" status. Everyone else's solid.

Some big games coming up this week - Great 8 teams playing host: can Baikinman trouble Shikoku? How will #1 aisteru fare in Kyoto's house? Can zenigata put a stop on the Kings?
Should be interesting...

How will #1 aisteru fare in Kyoto's house?

#1 in the blue against #4 in the red and the match wasn''t too bad but #4 had a solid 18 point win. The red won 7/8 games with only bottom team BC tiger losing to now top team in the blue KFC. The imbalance is incredible.

The top 4 red teams are in a brutal struggle and how much are they willing to risk to win promotion? It will be interesting to see who goes all in this season.

Ouch! You didn't try for the last round of the Cup? Same with Otaku. Kinda understand you not doing so, but Shikoku? For shame...

Goodonya Fighters for giving it a swing!

Did you see who I was playing? Against 95% of the teams in Nippon I would have had a chance but Kitakyushu is the #3 team in the entire nation, it was at their arena, they were willing to normal us and use their stars like this:

Meeme Kirk (6917323)
Shooting Guard
Owner: Kitakyushu

Weekly salary: $ 217 589
Role: regular starter
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 2809200
Age: 29
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: proficient

How am I to beat players like that? Probably the only teams I wouldn't try against were them, Sharman, 3A, Yokozuna and Swoosh. But it is the top 16 you have to meet a JBBL team sometime, just a pity it was the second best left in the tournament.

As for league how does it feel to be on top? Must be good for your fan survey. Notice KFC crushed Terry Bogard? They can dominate almost anyone but the top 4 in the Great 8. What a problem! It will be a long journey to the JBBL for someone.

Feels pretty good... but pretty precarious at the same time! I'm there by the skin o' my teeth!
And it's going to be a long journey to the JBBL for LOTS of someones!

Hi guys, sorry for no comment, i was away sorry. In my point of view, the team reach the 1st position in the great 8, have the 60% possibilities to promote JBBL. Sorry if my comment of "top 3" upset you Shogun. I like your time a lot! I wish i could have my teams almost all my players for japan. It is enviable! But I still have my opinion. It is possible that Kyushu Ramen at this time a better team than Shikoku, but in my humble opinion, you have better team that all teams of the Big 8, in the Great 8, you have the 3rd or 4th best team. I hope this comment does not bother
