Team Akuma draws another Bot team in the cup.

Would really like to see this team tested over 3 games in a week and have to fight for the 50K from cup games rather than just being given it.

Also would like to see how the team with its 600K a week salary and only a 15 and a half thousand seat arena survives with out its cup income.

Team Akuma barring injuries or sales caused by finanical pressures will be extremely hard to beat because of the stength of their starting 5

haha man you're making it sound like i have some kind of unfair disadvantage or something.
its pretty common to draw div 4 / bot opponents in the first few rounds.. i mean..you've had two div 4 / bot teams yourself!

anyway - lets put it to rest now. Like I said, i've been planning on putting together this team for many seasons now. It would be nice to be in the cup for as long as possible, but not essential. I've got more than enough banked up to keep me comfortably going without needing cup income.

Just hoping that I don't get a disaster injury..fingers crossed!!

its the first time in a few seasons that no one got knocked out in the first round of the cup.

haha mate, by the end of this season, my team will be financially wrecked
I'm putting everything I have into this season - TAK will basically be back at $0 at the end of Season 23
Most of my roster won't be worth much considering they'll be 33 next season. I'll be lucky to get half of what I paid for them.
So, no...I have no $$$ to spare!

All in the name of fun though!

You will have your work cutout should one of the balanced teams with depth, buy in a couple of beasts to supplement their rosters at the end of the season

2 ways of looking at it

If you look at the team ratings then id say you got badly done by.

However if you look at the individual players ratings for all the starters, I won 4 of the 5 positions.

Any win is a good win and I will take it

A win whilst playing a trainee for 48mins and playing TIE whilst playing away from home against a quality opponent in yourself, is a very good win

Yeah that is an unfortunate aspect of the game that i will have to live with.
its a pity they're not implementing the changes to discourage that this season but at least they have recognised that and have made some changes for season 24.

I wonder if a gameshape hit is enough though? i still see teams buying up 1 or 2 weeks before playoffs and simply training gameshape

Wont stop teams saving money and buying rentals but it will somewhat make it more expensive to do so. Hopefully that will stop most teams from following down that avenue.
