Yo, Jista:i

'm sitting here watching the Cavs get blown out by 26 points at halftime, and my squad lost the second half by 25 points to the Cross Chargers. sheesh.

maybe my luck will hold and the Pats will down by 25 at half tomorrow . . .

I didn't watch the game, but the Gators also lost the second half last night against Alabama (at home, mind you) 41-17. Of course, I'd be delighted if the score were that close in football, but... yeah.

I hope the Pats lose by 50 but alas I am resigned to them getting yet another Lombardi. Hope I am wrong!

"Start making some shots or you're indefinitely banned from postgame hangouts in the Register-Guard's clubhouse."

Hassan - how do you emotionally deal with watching your team skills waste away to nothingness on a weekly basis?

very occasionally, there is a surprise -- my 36 year old SF had a pop in JS!

Officially done putting any money into this game, we played great for 3 quarters yet inexplicable substitutions killed me in the fourth quarter....simply bleeping amazing that this game is as old as it is and the game engine is so poor. Congrats JF on the win...

after i lose on Tuesday, i will be at .500

i don't think i've ever been at .500 at this stage of the season before. part of it is my long-anticipated decline has finally set in, but i also think it is due to the fact that we have no teams deliberately tanking this season. or, to put it another way, we have no teams that aren't putting out a competitive lineup for every game. i figure if this season were "normal", and we had, say, two teams fighting for the top draft pick, i could very well be 8-3 at this stage.

we're reaching the stage of the season where strategic decisions concerning the Cup and its effect on standings are going to come into play, so we very well may end up with a series of 130 - 45 games, but, for now, this season has been really kinda fun (except for cws and his dopey in-game coach).

I'm definitely the worst team in the Great 8 this year and if I don't end up in the #8 spot, it'll be very lucky. But despite that, there's no reason to just mail it in. I started the season about $110k under the salary floor so I bought a solid starter to make it somewhat tougher to beat me in the games I'm trying to win. I don't understand why some teams maintain a salary way under the floor, they're paying without getting any benefit.

Too many teams demote and the last post they make in here is something to the effect of "See ya in a season or two" which was written 5, 8, 10+ seasons ago.

If I go down, it'll be kicking and screaming. Tanking is for Will Ferrell's character from Old School.
