I occasionally see teams that have many players, and some have numerous 40 year olds and older. Is there something useful about having four or five 45yo's on a team? Something maybe I'm unaware of? Thanks!

I would guess they are probably players they consider important to their club history, who they don't yet want to add to their Hall of Fame (or they don't have a Hall of Fame). They might also have a very low salary which can make them useful for filling out minutes in friendlies if needed.

I've just login to the game and i am trying to find my footing. Is there any good available guide?

Guide is right here on the forum: (144856.1)
Local managers are usually very eager to help you get started. If you like training, try contacting the U21 coach, they're usually looking for managers to train young players to help the U21 team. You don't need expensive high potential players for the U21, after the draft you can probably buy a player with 50+ total skill points (TSP) and perennial allstar or superstar potential for below 50k purchase.

However, financially it might not be the best to invest in training early in your career, as it doesn't pay off anytime soon. The best thing to do financially is to invest in your arena, and then some cheap veterans that help you win games to fill your arena.

That being said, this is a game that should be fun, and if you think training is fun you should go for it.

Yes, you can … but playing hum 48 minutes in every game (= 96 minutes a week … 144 minutes including cup-games) will result in a horrible ganeshape!

Optimum ist 60-75 minutes depending on stamina.

Is there any particular benefit to winning my home games, as compared to winning on the road? Would it help home attendance more. For instance, I have two exact teams, they both play the same schedule, but team A goes 6-6 whole winning all road games, while team B goes 6-6 while winning all home games. Will team B have better attendance or anything else from winning all their home games? Thanks!
