I doubt the gane can exist with less than 15k users.

There's just a question to answer to understand if BB is going to death: is there any owner of the game that is earning any money right now?
If the answer is no, just shut it down.
If the answer is yes: is there any extra money to spend in advertising?
Because visibility is the only key to keep it alive.

Even if the answer is no, there is no reason to shut it down.
With current user trends, in two years we will still have over 16000 users.
Sure, that's not great compared to prior user levels, but it is still a heck of a lot of people playing a game they enjoy.
And who knows, in the meantime, maybe some folks will figure out a way to increase awareness and turn the tide back to gaining users on a consistent basis.

It has been suggested so many times but i will say it again...

...a BB app would be a step in the right direction in this regard.

WHY you think so?

Basketball reasons.

Why would you need to do a reset of all teams just to make an app? I fail to see the logic there.

i read somewhere that one of the main problems of making a BB app was to adapt the current database to the new code required by an app(since the original one has been changed by several people and it seems to be in a somewhat messy situation).

so why not clean up the code while adapting it to an app and, if the database doesn't work with it, well, let's restart the app from scratch, new teams, new players, new economy, same challenges, same fun, lots and lots of managers more.

btw, the old web-based BB could continue to exist, funded by the loads of cash the app will generate!

Two BB's!!! Running concurrently? That would be really crazy. However, starting all over would be kind of fun. I'd go homegrown again like my Utopia team. I would like to keep the current BB going as well, though.
