Good point. Since there is good balance right now, leave as is. But any thought on the stadium cap?
Is it impossible as well?
One edit. Perhaps unlimited seats at DI is a bit much... have to rethink that...

worse idea ever sorry
building an arena is a long process and doing this would mean any team which promotes will not be able to compete as there income can not match those already in the league.

The biggest thing is to limit the advantage of i coming down to more money wins most the time. The over taxation is a great step. Now just make it if you get flogged often like tankers do you crowds drop and drop and take ages to win back. Say if you lose x games by more then y points in a season you lose z% of your crowds and it takes longer to win them back again. Teams that lose every game in a season after being competitive should have next to no one coming to their games. Big time mulity season tankers should end up with their season ticket o holders only turning up by end of their 2nd season of tanking.

This would make it a non option for anyone.

Maybe the easiest way to prevent tanking is to increase the salary floor in each league. If mine is now 200k, lets make it 300k.

I like the theory, but if we bring it in, please dont make it retrospective.

That said I sat on the salary floor in Div 1 last season and still got 7 wins and had a point difference for the season of -186, plus had a good run in the cup

It isn't seeded because that would be too advantageous to the top teams, who already have enough advantages, simply by being the better team. Presumably if it was seeded the higher seed would have HCA, making it almost certain that the higher seed would win.

A couple of seasons ago in England the semi finals of the tournament was made up of four D2 teams, impossible if it was seeded.

But how is that fair to the teams that pull a bad draw? Its not like Div 4 teams are going to win the cup, but they should be allowed to have a fair chance to win a few games as opposed to a computer owned team winning those games.

Its not unfair to have a random draw. By its nature, its the same for everyone, therefore its fair. Its fair that playoffs are seeded. You work all season for the seeding. Tournaments are different.

I would agree with you if there wasn't any cash involved, but with 50k per week involved it needs to be seeded. Remove the cash factor and you can have all the "fun" tournaments you want.

I disagree with raising the salary floor even more.

Let's not create a situation where every team will have to have a salary in too small a window and either be tanking or overspending the cap.

The fan survey / arena attendance needs to hit the obvious tankers harder in this regard.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Don't forget though that lower division teams at times have the option of using more effort in the Cup. Playing their starters, and deciding whether it's worth it to pull a surprise CT can get them wins against higher division foes. This is tougher for higher division teams as there's often fewer league games against very poor teams where you can recharge your enthusiasm.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean about seedings either. Wouldn't that favor the upper division teams even more, giving them more early games against bots? Or do you mean seeded within divisions?

I would agree with you if I wasn't greedy for more pretend money, blah blah sarcasm blah.

I'm sure the money for winning tournament games is intended as a bonus. Not a right.
