Repeat qs: Are the baseline rankings the same for every team or not? And will inactive and bot teams pick exactly according to the initial order?

Are you supposed to be allowed to do a scouting combine and a group demonstration, because I just did a combine and now both buttons are ghosted?

I am having the same problem. I did a scouting combine and now both buttons are ghosted. I still have 16 points left.

Probably not.
From the "News: Welcome to Season 13!":

Each team will have its own baseline rankings, but the amount of uncertainty in each set of rankings will be the same

Every team initially has nine 5-ball, ten 4-ball, ten 3-ball, ten 2-ball and nine 1-ball players. Every team's initial order is from the highest to the lowest. And finally, because every team has its own baseline ranking the initial order will be different for every team in your league.

The part "the amount of uncertainty in each set of rankings will be the same" probably means what Alec Burke previously said (154960.391). Perhaps this post (149639.22) provides an answer in favor to his position (answered by BB-Edju).

And for your second question, also from the "News: Welcome to Season 13!":

... Also, bot teams will now choose players according to the baseline rankings rather than at random.

So yes, they will chose exactly according to their baseline rankings/initial order.

Hey guys,just a quick question about drafting :
Ive been playing for about 3-4 seasons now and i love the game but i never really paid attention to the drafting and since there's a new system now,im trying to utilize it. My question is,how do i know what draft pick i would get? I know weaker teams get the higher pick but roughly what number will my pick be?

If the draft is today, you'll pick 15 in order.

Draft order works off the win/loss record of the entire 16 teams in your league. For example the worst win/loss record gets the first pick, second worst win/loss record gets the second pick etc. "Ties in the standings are broken first by number of forfeits (indicated by a * next to the number of losses a team has), followed by point differential, then points scored." So in your league you have the 2nd best record so will be picking 15th (2nd last)

Currently you have 15th pick. (Second last).
What pick you get is determined by your season record. So everyone is ordered by how many games they have won.
If there are two people on the same number of wins, then the system checks to see if any of them had a walkover (forfeit). If one of the teams has a forfeit they will be placed lower than the other team.
If neither team has a forfeit, then it will check the Points Difference (Points you scored - points scored against you).
Whoever has the highest Point difference will be above the other team.

I love this game and its community,best ever!

First I want to say that I think that the new draft system looks really good. It is obvious that people in same league will share their information and that this will be much more valuable than with old system. Would have been nice if this was not as easy it is right now. Because if weight, star rating and potential is fix value, i.e. same will be shown for two different users if player is fully scouted, it will be pretty easy to use this information to combine each others information and avoid that two users both scout a poor player.

As a small response to Naker in the suggestion thread. If you have done scouting combine I think that it might be wise to not use scouting combine. All depends on what your goal is though. I am drafting quite early but not first so won't be able to get best draftees as there are very active users that will draft ahead of me so I instead focus on finding best guards, both to potentially train them myself and for selling a high quality player to other team.

But I again want to give some credit to BB for what looks like a very good draft (and fun for active users) system. This system will be very beneficial for those that draft early. I would spend very little on the draft if I was a top team with this new system. That is for sure but I think that it makes sense also to be like that. Only importance now is to not make it too beneficial to opt for a good draft position. It should be costly to lose games on purpose namely.
