Yeah you've been in there for a quite a while ;) I will love to land back in D.IV even though its no where near as competitive as a few seasons ago. So many great rivalries used to be in there. But honestly Ill take any active league.

All I know is by the start of next season I will have $3mil to build a team and Im sure it wont take more than half of that to buy a bunch of 20k-30k 30 year olds, so I will have a lot of money left over to assure I will promote right away :D
Btw prepare for a ton of trash talk as next season approaches.

If you're interested in my method, check this post: (214659.97). Same nomenclature as last season. Distribution is roughly the same as last year, although only 2 chuck norris leagues this time.. As I said before (214659.110), these ratings are quite subjective. The nomenclature is probably more meaningful than the number.

Still, in my calculations, the title of "Toughest D.IV League" goes to IV.55.

And IV.8 has earned the title of "Easiest D.IV League".

And the random stats:
Average ranking for a Div IV team: 1033 (better than last year by 23)
Average NR, Win %, PD/Game by Conference Standings:
1st: 465, 87.4%, +23.6
2nd: 579, 75.9%, +16.4

AVG NR of all US Div.IV Great 8 teams: 1062
AVG NR of all US Div.IV Big 8 teams: 1003
Big 8 teams went 2086-2010 against the Great 8 this season.

I noticed not a single one was "rigourous"

and IV.29 contiues their decline through the rankings, a tale of 2 conferences may tell why

While IV.29 Big 8 might be "robust" or "rigorous" the Great 8 is "scrawny" or "weak" all because one a few reasons

1. Tactics Only the top 2 teams in the Great 8 manage tactics well (Rum Ham and Mountain Eagles; hence that is how I'm #2 this season)

2. Activity 5/8 teams of the Great 8 side are active, making the bottom 3 holding it down, while in the Big 8. ALL 8 teams are active

3. Players

The Great 8 tends to be very brutal when it comes to guard quality. all top 5 teams in the Great 8 have great guards, meaning that to win the games in the Great 8, you'll need another strong point other then guards, which right now only 2 teams in the Great 8 have. (Rum Ham and Buzz. Eaters) that is why there is always a dog fight in the Great 8, and the players' quality after SG or PG falls rapidly

well that is my take on why IV.29 is declining----------> b/c of The Great 8

An odd coincidence... but that's what happens sometimes.

well, if you want to start a "best teams in D.IV" thread, be my guest.

But I can do team awards again:

Most Improved League: IV.55 jumping from a robust 109 rating in Ssn 21 to this season's Chuck Norris 140 rating

Most declined League: IV.8 plunging from a weak 93 rating last season to a new basement wimpy 67

Highest Ranked Team: N.Y Apple in IV.14 (again) at CR 133

Best Offense: heat3 in IV.17 with 130 ppg against teams in their weak league on account of their their blistering RNG attack

Best Defense: The Coolness Factor in IV.43 allowing opponents from their stout league only 58 ppg against a suffocating mix of defensive schemes

Best Point Differential: The Coolness Factor in IV.43 again besting opponents from their stout league by an average of 48 ppg

Highest Ranked Undefeated Team: Nubsarehere in IV.20 15-0 and ranked 173 in the nation

Deepest League: IV.18 with an average CR of 647, a full 386 ranks above the average for all of D.IV.
