I agree. It's not one thing. There were many and it was cumulative. :) There were bunch of bugs that repelled quarter of the fan base. Game delays just to remember one of the worst. :D But let's head back to the topic. I think attendance and fan survey could be the killer - that one drop too much for some users to abandon this great game. ;)

Some people don't have any problems and just grow tired of playing.

But for the people that do have complaints, many of them aren't even things that require fixing. They're just differences of opinion on how this game should be run. The list of things that I would like to see changed won't agree with your list, Manon's list or anyone else on this site. That's just reality.

I've concluded that Canadian fans are too ungrateful. They're clearly a bunch on whiners who are impossible to keep happy.

I'm thinking of packing my bags for Pakistan or some other small nation whose fans will simply be happy to have an active team to cheer for.

On which place in league are You in ranking of last arena income? (There is possibility to check it in few clicks on Buzzer-Manager.com). Please check it after today's match and after next home match (currenlty ranking could be incorrect because only half of teams played match at home after ticket price update).
If You look at this ranking You should see, that attendance works properly, because there is strong corelation between attendance and results during whole season. Of course arena size, ticket prices and championship/promotion/relegation/cup factors should be considered.

I'm sure You received promotion bonus to fan survey and attendance and because of it You gained few hundreds thousands. This extra money is enough prove that fans are proud.
Of course promotion bonus has less impact in last weeks of season. The same as relegation penalty, and I'm sure that thanks this mechanism Your incomes in last weeks of previous season increased in comparison to early weeks.
However fans of teams, which have better record than 9-7 should proud more than You fans. And therefore their attendance is few thousands higher.

It doesn't matter, there are good teams in every league and I think in most of leagues in whole BB exists team with 9-7 record. Number of wins and defeats is the same in every league. In previous season many teams had worse attendance because they lost against You few days earlier, even if they had no chances for win. It is how it works, results are rewerded in attendance.

There is old BB joke in Spain/Italy that every nation smaller than Spain/Italy is small nation.
So why do You want to change one small nation to other small nation? Try something different.

We have similar promotion/team/arena size/etc give or take (except team strength right now haha)

2441/3385 lower tier @ $53 (72%)
443/500 courtside @ $175 (89%)
29/45 luxury @ $1099 (64%)

My last home game (vs #1 in our league) after a loss:
12924/14000 bleachers @ $19 (92%)
2570/3050 lower tier @ $53 (84%)
460/500 courtside @ $172 (92%)
45/50 luxury @ $845 (90%)

Results were unsurprisingly quite similar. You have fewer % in bleachers and luxury because your prices were too high.
Differences in lower tier and courtside could be attributed to: slightly stronger opponent, PR manager level, season ticket holders, slightly different fan ball survey, luck, anything else I'm forgetting...

I think it should be a real easy fix, as I said before, to just take into account 3 or 5 previous games, not just 1.

Similar to real life, if your team is crappy and just wins 1 game, the place isn't going to sell out/nearly sell out the next game. But if you're on a 5 game winning streak... the place will be rocking.

Conversely if your team is good, wins 4 games then drops a close game to a really strong team, all of a sudden fans are not going to stop coming the next game because they are in a "bad mood".

I think we can mostly all agree that some moderation of the large swings is needed.

Perhaps they should stop scheduling BB games against Hockey Night in Canada. At least for the one series a decade that the Leafs are in the postseason. ;)

The leagues clearly get tougher as you promote up the chain, I'm not sure how this is even worth debating. And the biggest difference with D1 is that every team understands gameshape, enthusiasm and and other tricks so there aren't very many easy games. In any of the lower divisions he wouldn't have considered 9-7 a success so the point he's making on D1 being tougher is certainly valid.

It still doesn't matter. If, for example, 4 teams in Your league became bot and/or decided to tank, Your league would be weaker, however You attendance should be the same. And You would be very unhappy if attendece dropped. I can imagine new topic: "I won by 100 PD with bot and my attendance dropped, it's unfair". However if You want better attendance in tougher league, then in weaker league attendance should be worse, it's logical. Unfortunatelly human nature is out of logic.
Please imagine situation: You make deal, which should give You 500k every week. Unexpectedly You received 550k in 4 weeks in row. After 4 weeks You started to receive only 500k in next 4 weeks. What does logic say? Logic says that You gained 200k of extra money. What does human nature say in this case? Human nature says that You lost 200k of money.
Increasing attendance solves nothing. Because if every team in league has more money than they will pay higher payrolls, league will bo tougher and nothing will change. Only difference between 1st and 2nd division.
