As teams get ready for the all star break, it appears the dynamics of IV.11 are starting to fall into place. As most predicted, the Big 8 has a distinct advantage in nearly every match-up and have highly likely possibility of winning it all this season. After the Morgantown disaster which resulted in the selling off of an entire roster, the Great 8 is left with only one real threat to compete in the finals. Interleague play will wrap up in another week as we enter crunch time for teams trying to secure a playoff position.

The Believers handed the Machetes their third loss of the season on Tuesday, by effective game planning. It looked like the Machetes wanted to take away the 3 ball, but the believers kept dropping the ball down low for the easy basket, exploiting the 3-2 zone. France, Chul Moo and Xanthakis recorded double doubles for the believers, while Medar controlled the paint for the Machetes. Ioannis Pouliadis lead all scorers with 36 in the 112-95 contest.

The Savages were able to pull out what you could technically consider an upset against the Sentinels. The Savages came in as a solid Big8 seed while the Sentinels were positioned in the 6 slot in the Great8. Despite being an upset on paper, most bookies had the Savages as the favorite in this one. Despite a game high 33 points from Curtis Kyle, the Sens werent able to overcome a late game surge by the Savage duo of Carriere and Han Jet who each recorded double doubles. The Sentinels didnt help their cause by sending the Savages to the stripe 27 times.

The Beach Crew handed the Mad dogs their 6th straight loss, in what looks to be a complete upheaval of a season in Morgantown. The hands down favorites to win it all have not even been contenders since their roster exodus. A much more modest roster put up decent numbers led by double doubles from Bozek and Eli Bunch who lead all scorers with 23, but the all around attack from the Beach Crew which saw 6 players score at least 10 on the night. Defense was a key as the Dogs only recorded 3 steals while amassing 19 fouls, resulting in a 23 of 34 marking from the line.

Team Turn Up, "turned it up" knocking off the Plugs 115-66. An amazing, 8 players recorded at least 10 points, including double doubles from Hennoste, Vouk and Dennis. An abysmal 4-22 night from deep didnt help the Plugs chances, nor did only 3 players scoring more than 8. Defensively the Plugs did what was needed, but some nights, there is just a lid on the cylinder and Tuesday was one of those nights. Anthony Redman lead all scorers with 20 in a lopsided affair.

The Peppers squared off against the Poros in a game that was a little closer than the experts may have predicted. It was still a 27 point margin, and the Peppers didnt really try, but none the less, it was still closer than expected. Yehuda Rozen lead all scorers with 31, and was closely followed by 29 from Orbaiz, but they were the only real contributors for the Poros. Meanwhile Montalvo and Lyman each put up double doubls for the Peppers, as 2 of 5 players to reach the 10 point mark or higher.

In a low scoring tight one, the Buckets topped the Tartans 68-56 on the Tartans home court. Ventura and Kalabuskin recorded dubs for the Buckets, as did Redman and Jacques for the Tartans, but the bench is where the difference was made, as the Buckets had a 24-17 advantage over the Tartans.

The Condors refused to be the first victim of the Catholic squad in a 120-85 stomping, as the newcomers still havent made any moves to better their inadequate roster. Harden, Newby and Pittman had no problem scoring, but giving up 28 TO's and your opponent converting 20/22 on FT's wont get you many wins. Daniil Bosyakov lead all scorers with 28 for the Condors.

Not much can be said about the Force's performance of late. Their decision to go big in a win against the Beach crew two weeks ago is still haunting the roster. The Generals won this one easily, 110-45. Vick and Pujol continue to dominate

Tonight will match one of few of the season that will pit several competitive match ups on the court. In many cases the difference will be those who are taking it serious and those Who are preparing for the All-Star break.

In a one verse one match up machete kills squares off against the generals. Guiata Will be asked to carry the heavy load for the machetes however they are overmatched and most positions due to the strong inside presence of Pujol and Miranda. If the machete coaching staff can prepare adequately this should be a good game but will likely favor the home generals.

In a five verse five contest team turnup will be heavily favored against the force. If you have any other plans tonight I suggest you attend to those As this game will be a sleeper. in favor of team turn up. The front office of the force is growing concerned with the slow development of rookie sensation Joseph Duvall but pleasantly surprised with many other young talents. Look for the youth movement to continue through the All-Star game and into future seasons .

Morgantown will look to get back into the win column in a tough matchup against the believers . Baráo and Bozek are the few talents remaining on the mad dog roster and likely will not be enough to outgun the believers. Despite an Injured Back Court, Tony France And Chul Mun should have no difficulties and pulling out the win in this one.

The tartans will square off against the beach crew in at 2 The tartans will square off against the beach crew in at 2 6 Match up. The tartans bring a new meaning to big three as they rely heavily on post play to get the team going. Klevas Šliužyz Will have to carry the load for the beach crew as he is the most talented player on the court with the question will be whether he can do it on his own. Look for the tartans to get the road victory.

Marquette catholic continues to struggle with its original lineup adding zero help so far this season . They should be no challenge for the green peppers. It is rumored that Lyman has already left for the All-Star game knowing he is not even needed in this game to get the easy win. Let's see if the rumors hold true or if he makes an appearance tonight in the blowout W for the peppers.

The number eight savages will face the number seven plugs in a likely routing in favor of Golden State. Han Jet, Devadze and Spirovic have the potential to take down the plugs all by themselves as Henry pant has not been enough to keep the plugs out of relegation danger the season.

The Poros square off against Mercy buckets which should heavily favor the four seed from the big eight. Nuad Jagodic is the only weapon for the Poros as the rest of the team as well below the league average. Look for Xamix and Kalabushkin to dominate down low with help from solid to guard play and a blowout win for mercy buckets.

Our final match up will feature the sentinels and condors in the last interleague matchup of the season. James Edwards, Edgar McSween, And David Jones should be enough for the sentinels. That's a lie those players don't even exist but you wouldn't know that because nobody knows the actual players on the sentinels, Since they haven't shown up to play yet this season. Bosyakov and Churchill Will put up stellar numbers in this one solidifying their divisions superiority in this league

I could have sworn i started McCloud at Center, but he's not even playing...that's annoying, I was hoping he'd continue to build on his stats.

The Generals got out in front early on the Machetes and were able to withstand a late game push, that made this one closer than it really was. The Machetes looked to use their talented guard play to hang with the Generals, and were able to convert for 71 points playing small ball. The problem, was that they were out-rebounded by 24 and had no answers for the General's post play. They spread the ball around, allowing every player to score, led by Oriol Pujol who had 28 and 15 boards.

The Force went into this one, concerned more with being prepared for the future, taking it easy against a much more talented Turn Up squad, and the result was as you'd expect. Coach Perp hopes that as his young roster gets more experienced, they will cut down on many of the ill advised shot attempts and passes, that were the eventual downfall in this one. Simanynas, Dennis, Hennoste, Jiahzi, Duvall and Vouk all had double doubles, as there were a lot of missed shots and rebound opportunities. Vouk had the best shooting night dropping 24, shooting 66%.

The Believers notched another tally in Morgantowns growing Loss column in a 132-60 shellacking. Bunch was able to reach a double double, along with 16 from Angel for the Mad Dogs, but it wasnt enough to compete with a Believer roster who saw 7 players reach double digits, led by Pouliadis' 30 point night, and a double double from Chul Moo. The Mad Dogs are becoming every teams favorite opponent as they are allowing huge numbers of late.

The Tartans got the sole win for the Great 8 in a 97-90 thriller. The Believers came out of half time cold and weren't able to recover, despite double doubles from Edmondson and Chen and a 24 point night from Sliauzys. The Tartan big's continue to be their driving force as Jacques and Redman both recorded double doubles. A slow night for Jennings could have been their demise, but Duckworth was able to put up 19 from the point position, giving the Tartans just enough for the tough win.

The Peppers essentially had a night off as they took on Marquette, who simply had no answer for the Pepper offense. The offensive production wasn't as bad as it looked, only scoring 59, but the inability to get stops and allowing 20 combined blocks led to this blowout. Harden put up 20 for the Catholic squad, but a 40 point night from Montalvo was nearly enough on its own to get the win for the Peppers. Rebodello, Genaridis and Grouspas all converted doubles for the Peps making this one an easy mark in the W column.

The Buckets got an easy win over the Poros, who while being a decent competitor in the Great 8, stand no chance in interleague play. Orbaiz led all shooters with 22 but was the only bright spot on the Poros stat sheet, which was clouded by 20 TO's and 25 fouls. McCrackin and Kalabushkin recorded Dub-D's for the Buckets as 2 of 7 players to score at least 10. The crew from Mercy spread the ball around getting 32 assists and were constantly pestering the Poros ball handlers, coming away with 14 steals.

Not many would have given the Plugs a second thought in a matchup verse the Savages, despite sitting dead last in the Big 8, and they would have been right. However the loss, a 17 point spread was much closer than most predicted. Henry Pant put up 17 for the Plugs who shot relatively well from the field and only gave up 1 block against a much more talented Savage D. Once again, ball control and fouls were the deciding factor as the Plugs put the Savages on the line 26 times where they converted for 13. Devadze led all scorers with 20 while Carriere and Spirovic each had double doubles.

The lowest scoring quarter of the night award goes to the Sentinels who managed only 9 in the 4th against the Condors. Despite Merle Oakley leading all scorers with 20, the Condors came out on top led by double doubles from Churchill, Dyson and Vaughn. The Sens werent able to get to the line enough, converting their only 2 FT's and were crushed on the boards 33-60.

The neon lights are plugged in and ready to shine bright on All-Star night in IV.11. Unfortunately the fans who come to share in the Oooh's and Aaahs of the star studded event will likely be slightly underwhelmed, and the score will most assuredly be heavily lopsided. The Big 8 will be a strong favorite in every matchup on the floor, as their dominance in interleague play will spill over into the ASG.

Only 3 of the 8 teams in the Great 8 have players represented in the event, while the Big 8 has representatives from 4 squads. While the player salaries aren't always accurate indications of how a game will turnout, the Big 8 holds a massive advantage, as their combined owners shell out $206k a week, while the Great 8 is only spending $93k.

The biggest disparity will be seen in the post as the Believers' bigs take on the Tartan bigs. Redman and Jacques have given their opponents hell all season, but not as much so as France and Chul Moo. This will be a potential foreshadowing of their coming matchup, as it is the only interleague opponent these teams haven't seen yet this season.

If the Great 8 are going to get lucky at any position and have a player outshine their counter part, look for it to be Machete Kill's Luo Changming over Andre Louis Miranda of the second place Generals.

Despite taking the fewest amount of 3 pointers among the competitors in the 3 point shootout, the favorite appears to be Mimmo Massaccesi of Machete Kills, who comes in shooting just over 45% from deep.

Hopefully the fans and players all have an enjoyable event and they all develop precursors to season ending injuries which will clear the way for the Force to dominate!

The voting system and the whole all-star selection process needs to be completely overhauled. It's a really lame part of the season considering only 7 of 16 teams even have a single player to care about.

The second half of the season gets underway with the Machetes taking on Team Turn Up. Despite being the 1 seed in the Great 8, the Machetes will be over matched across the board in this one. Hector Guiata has shown he can lead the team to wins, and Masseccesi has been lights out from deep this season, but Vlado Vouk and the boys are no joke. Look for Hennoste to dominate inside and get the win.

In Game 2, the Peppers will face the newly acquired Hornets. Like every other new franchise to the season, we wish the Hornets luck and hope they can take their losses with pride knowing their starting roster just isnt made to compete. They still have half a season to get the 18 year old Allstar into shape but dont look for him to stop Leroy Lyman who has been kicking ass and taking names.

Morgantown vs the Generals was one of the biggest matchups on the docket coming into the season. After the Dogs had to sell the farm it will just be marked as another blowout win for the Generals. The Generals All-star cast will likely all record double doubles, and I wouldnt be shocked to see Miranda with a triple double.

The Condors have moved up from the gutters to take the 6th slot in the Big 8 and face a less then tough Plugs team. Henry Pant has been putting up good numbers, but Bosyakov and Churchill have been stellar this season for the Condors. Unfortunately it doesnt seem likely they will be able to avoid the relegation game this season but hopefully they can use this essential off night to keep prepping for a strong post season.

The Poros will take their talents to Palm Beach who've put Dawidowicz on the block this week. Sliauzys has been the main man for the Beach crew this season, with scattered help from Edmondson, Sandoval and Chen. Look for at least one of those pieces to be enough to take out the Poros. Nuad Jagodic hasn't been enough on his own to make much of a mark this season, and the combination of Orbaiz and Valverde are at the low end of the spectrum for wingmen in this league. The Beach Crew should top the Poros who keep letting the last spot of the playoffs remain up for grabs.

The Believers face off against the Tartans and a banged up Believer squad may cause some concern as 2 starters wont be playing in this TV game. Fortunately for the Believers, they should still have enough to overcome the challenge from the big 3 of the tartans. Chul Moo may have to put in so extra effort in the absence of France, but he abused Jacques Redman and Jennings in the allstar game and will likely repeat the same effort.

Mercy Buckets will get the night off against Marquette. Unfortunately this lopsided league keeps providing the Big 8 with blowout wins but hopefully the managers in the Great 8 will see promise on the horizon and stay involved to try to create some parody. A big night for Kalabushkin seems likely as hes been able to produce great numbers against much greater talent this year.

The final game pits the Force against the Savages. While the Savages risk relegation this season, Spirovic and Devadze should easily dismantle the Force backcourt, while Han Jet pours on the hurt from inside. The Force will look to make a move to get into the playoffs as the 3-5 seeds have been on pretty similar ground of late, but it likely wont happen in this one.

Only 3 games remain in the season, but IV.11 still has plenty of opportunity for shuffling in the playoff and relegation rounds.

The Believers will likely be able to hang on to their seat atop the Big 8, even if they drop Saturday's game against the tough Bucket squad that held them to 66 points in their first matchup. The Believers would have to lose out to drop in the standings, and given their history this season, that is rather unlikely.

Not only will the Buckets most likely not move up, there is actually a very real chance that they could drop down to the 3 spot, as the Generals hold a rather large advantage in strength of schedule for the rest of the season. Either way, its likely these two will face each other in the opening round which will be a thriller, considering they split the season series in 2 close games.

The Peppers are in a tough spot as they face both the Believers and Buckets, neither of which will likely end in their favor. Their saving grace is that team Turn Up is the only team that can catch them and they will have to win out to do so, as well as overcome a 120pt deficit in pt differential.

The Turn Ups hold a firm grasp on the 5 seed, and will most likely sit idol during the post season. Going 3-0 or 0-3 to finish the season is the only way they will budge and the point differential is so large on either end, neither seems likely.

The Savages have been at the bottom of the barrel in the Big 8 all season, but being only 2 games behind the Beach-goers, who face 3 of the top 4 teams, they have a chance to avoid immediate relegation, and fight for a chance to remain in IV.11. Unfortunately for the Savages they will have to win 3 straight, which they haven't done since interleague play, as they've been largely outmatched in conference games.

The Great 8 standings can almost be taken to the bank at this point, and start the playoffs tonight.

The Machetes have dominated the conference and would have to lose out and the Tartans would have to pick up 200 points in differential to be overthrown.

The Poros cant catch the Tartans unless they win out and considering they play the Tartans and the Machetes, its safe to say they will hold on to their 3 seed.

Morgantown locked up the 4 seed by eliminating the Force from contention with a win against Catholics.

GM Perp will kick back and continue his training adventure this season as the Force would need to lose out and give up 300 points in differential against the 3 worst teams in the league, but most likely the Force will be able to save face and finish out the season 8-14.

The Plugs and Catholic are both Bot teams now, and the Hornets have done little to show they will be an active member of the league. 1 of them will be Relegated next week, another will be relegated the week after, and the third will stick around for more punishment next season.
