the attendance boost is one detail that makes the structure of this game so clever. Procta wins, but can't advance, gets no immediate bonus, but does get a trophy.
but from my experience, he can expect more or less a full house for 8 - 10 games this season, a boost of possibly $50,000 a game or so. do the math, and you can see a "bonus" of $500,000 or so -- still not on the level of a promotion bonus, nor does it come all at once, nor does he benefit from a week free from salary -- so there is something, but not, relatively speaking, an excessive reward that makes it easier for him to stay on top.
this is why repeating as champion is so impressive -- or maybe the lesson is that $1 million really does not mean much when trying to build a NBBA-level champion squad.
