Your perfunctory montage tonight focuses on the nightly struggles for those all along the chain of competitiveness.


Announcer: as the season start to circle the Bend and head for home separation has occurred up and down the standings. Though there is still quite a bit left to play for and decide before we cross the finish line.

The Masters look to keep ahold of hca for the opening round of the playoffs as the tornadoes touch down

But it is the kitties who have the top slot all but sown up as the have Hayward in town

Bacon looks to beat down Inc to get themselves one step closer to clinching a relegation slot

While the thieves threaten to possibly secure the final playoff spot though a egg win suddenly makes that race very interesting


In the big blue wrecking crew

The breathers look to stop srar

While the generals go looking to avenge a opening night loss to Louisville to keep pace in position for a first round home date

The brewskies are beat up and the bunnies look to take advantage in their late season push

And deronimo gets the free lap against a pride club which never bothered to unpack their bags

Tonight's montage features the players who are predestined to be in position to lead their respective clubs out of the darkness into the light of promotion.


Announcer: every team in contention this season seems to have either built to be to this point or have added pieces to their puzzle to make themselves part of the equation. As we enter the final six regular season contests we will see over the next several weeks how these moves will pan out.

Deronimo and breathers battle with the top spot at stake.

While Greensboro sits close behind though they have a hot bunnies club to deal with tonight

the brewskies are trying to hang onto their suddenly perilous grasp on the final playoff spot again a srar club settling into the six position

and the waffles get a chance to salve their wounds with the free pass coming against pride

the kitties will claw one step closer to a regular season conference championship and HCA for the playoffs while egg looks to try and keep their fading playoff hopes alive

the lumberjacks get the free lap against a inc club already packing their things

while the thieves look to upend masters to keep themselves level in the win column

and the tornadoes look to start building up steam for the relegation battle ahead against a baconator club settling into the seventh slot

Tonight's montage is of players showing extra hustle. Scrapping and battling under the glass , fighting thru the screen , twisting and turning to get the shot, diving on the floor or flying into the stands to save a loose ball. Etc

Announcer: with the championship chase quickly coming to a close the battles continue for positioning for the opportunity to promote for some while others are setting up to do what they can to survive. Tonight we add another chapter and verse to the story


In club red things are getting very cut and dried

The kitties have cruised well out of sight and can officially clinch with a win at masters

The Lumberjacks can punch their postseason ticket with a win over tornadoes

Same goes for thieves in their meeting with bacon

While egg looks to cruise past Inc to give them a leg up on having hca in the relegation round.

While in big blue much is left to do

The brewskies look to bump off deronimo which would throw a real wrench in the machine

Down the road the generals are trying not to slip up against srar


The breathers are trying to keep pace against a Louisville club looking to improve their relegation position

While the bunnies get to vent their frustrations upon pride

Announcer: tonight as we start the final four games of the season so much in so many different parts of the standings are left to decide. In areas where everything seemed settled there is now uncertainty but in that uncertainty there can become distinct clarity.

The old rivals meet for the 48th time though no regular season matchup between deronimo and the generals has held this level of importance. for the guys from the new river valley a chance to in essence clinch the regular season honors. for the generals a chance to move into position to claim their first regular season title ever.

the breathers are sitting right on their tales, but they have a tough assignment with a trip to the cave to visit the fast closing bunnies who are surging towards trying to snag the last playoff position

while the holders of that spot the brewskies are on upset alreat with a trip to take on the waffles

while srard looks to take a step up the standing with the free lap against pride

the kitties have clinched and now get to kick back with bacon in the little box

the lumberjacks and thieves tangle with the upper leg towards having HCA in the first round on the line for the winner

though masters will still have a huge say in that matter and they would see their voice increase with the free lap coming up against inc

and the tornadoes take on egg looking for a chance to move up one import spot in the relegation derby

But I know who Opie references. Then again for those hitting middle age like I am knowledge of the Andy Griffith show is mandatory.

As for our references. Alfred refers to former Greensboro General Alfred Webb (34288932) who is the leagues color commentator and Lee is Lee Thomas of Deronimo fame (20745076) who serves as the league play by play man. The dynamic between the two is kind of Frank Gifford/ Don Meredith esque.

Sybil and the occasional "vox pouli" reference are from the classic film "Network" https://youtu.be/c5Gf0VKXk5Q Sybil has fallen a long way since those days of yore. Picture a female version of Jimmy The Greek.

tonight's montage concentrates on that red white and blue orb that the competitors try to put in the orange cylinder 10' above.

Announcer: tonight as the season comes cascading to a close we look back on who has gotten the bounces and who has had the bad breaks. And though most issues are decided for the second season tonight we take one more step to finalizing the finishing order.

Ok I am going to have too much going on for BB2NIGHT, so who wants to take a crack at it?

In the first round of the playoffs, the 2 v. 3 matches are probably the most interesting, for both red and blue.

But, baring injury issues, league finals should be kitties v. Deronimo, especially if both team took it easy down the stretch, once #1 seed in each conference wrapped up.

I think both games on the blue side have intrigue. Generals and breathers split during the season each winning on the others court, though in both cases the generals put forth more effort. Nix being down for the breathers changes the equation but ain't no time to relax for Greensboro, but my 50th birthday is Wednesday so I am hoping my team can give me a little early present.

Deronimo did sweep the bunnies both times by double digits. But the bunnies are playing good ball right now. But never discount the bunnies.

Club red seems a lot more cut and dried. The kitties though are primed to get back to the finals. This however may well be the season Deronimo finally goes up.
