First, I referred to (323269.10) and slightly improved the way to qualify for the Second Chance Qualifiers.

Plan 1
- #3 and #4 teams in 1st round groups advance into two new 2nd round groups (Pool I and J) of six.
- Four extra games on Friday to determine the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers:
The #4 teams in Pool G and H (G4, H4) vs The #1 teams in Pool I and J (I1, J1) (random).
The #3 teams in Pool G (G3) vs The #5 teams in Pool H (H5).
The #3 teams in Pool H (H3) vs The #5 teams in Pool G (G5).

Week 14
Final 2 teams + 4 SCQ x 1 team
On Friday
Semifinal 4 teams (#1#2) + 4 QfSCQ x 2 teams (#3#5#4 + #1)
Week 9-13
2 Pools x 6 teams (#1#2) + 2 Pools x 6 teams (#3#4)
Week 2-8
6 Pools x 8 teams

Pros:
- 24 teams in 2nd round.
- Improve the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers.
In the simple case: absolutely top 8*, the top 8 teams have a higher chance of qualifying for the Second Chance Qualifiers.

Second, there is another solution for 4 groups in the 2nd round.

Plan 2
- The top 4 teams in 1st round groups advance into four 2nd round groups (Pool G, H, I, J) of six, with the result against the co-advancing team from the first round groups carrying forward.
The grouping method is the same as the tournaments in the Americas and Asia, with one team from the same group in the 1st round.
The following is a possible grouping method:
Pool J: D1, B2, F2, B3, F3, D4.
Pool I: B1, F1, D2, D3, B4, F4.
Pool H: C1, A2, E2, A3, E3, C4.
Pool G: A1, E1, C2, C3, A4, E4.
- The 2nd round is played from Week 9 to Week 12.
Take Pool G as an example. The following is a possible schedule.
Week 9: A1 vs E1, C2 vs A4, C3 vs E4.
Week 10: A1 vs C2, E1 vs C3, A4 vs E4.
Week 11: A1 vs C3, E1 vs A4, C2 vs E4.
Week 12: A1 vs E4, E1 vs C2, C3 vs A4.
- The top two teams in each group advance to a single-elimination tournament during Weeks 13&14, quarterfinals on Monday of Week 13, semifinals on Friday, and final on Monday of Week 14,
with positions determined randomly, #1 vs #2 in quarterfinals, and the restriction that teams from the same group will only meet in the final.
- Eight extra games to determine the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers:
On Monday of Week 13,
The #3 teams in Pool G, H, I, J (G3, H3, I3, J3) vs The #4 teams in Pool G, H, I, J (G4, H4, I4, J4) (random, no intra-group matches.)
On Friday,
The remaining quarterfinalists vs The winner of #3, #4 teams in Pool G, H, I, J (random, no intra-group matches, opponent is revealed after quarterfinals.)

Week 14
Final 2 teams + 4 SCQ x 1 team
On Friday
Semifinal 4 teams + 4 QfSCQ x 2 teams (pre W + 1/8 L)
Week 13
Quarterfinal 8 teams (#1#2) + 4 pre-QfSCQ x 2 teams (#3#4)
Week 9-12 (keep record)
4 Pools x 6 teams (#1#2#3#4)
Week 2-8
6 Pools x 8 teams

Pros:
- 24 teams in 2nd round.
- #3, #4 teams in the first round can compete for the championship (with the result carrying forward).
- Improve the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers.
In the simple case: absolutely top 8*, ......

Cons:
- The top 2 teams may meet in the semifinals.
In the simple case: absolutely top 2*, the top 2 teams may meet in the semifinals.

Others:
- The situation for the remaining quarterfinalists and the #3 and #4 teams in Pools G, H, I, J is different. Is there a possibility of a problem arising from this?

Third,
for the Americas and Asia tournaments, for consistency, I suggest adding 2 extra games to determine the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers:
The #3 teams in Pool D (D3) vs The #4 teams in Pool E (E4).
The #3 teams in Pool E (E3) vs The #4 teams in Pool D (D4).
This can improve the unfairness caused by the unequal strength of the two pools.

* Absolutely top n case: Team #1 wins against all other teams. Team #2 wins against all other teams except team #1. ... Team #n wins against all other teams except team #1 to #(n-1)

To improve the tough advancing ratio: 2/8 in the 1st round in Plan 1 in (322429.43), there is a new solution.

- The 48 teams are drawn into 12 groups (Pool A to L) containing 4 teams each.
- Each group will play a round robin from Week 2 to Week 4.
- The top 2 teams and the bottom 2 teams advance into four 2nd round groups (Pool Q, R, S, T) and four 2nd round groups (Pool M, N, O, P) of six respectively,
with the result against the co-advancing team from the first round groups carrying forward.
Take Pool Q to T as an example. The following is a possible grouping method:
T: D1, D2, H1, H2, L1, L2.
S: C1, C2, G1, G2, K1, K2.
R: B1, B2, F1, F2, J1, J2.
Q: A1, A2, E1, E2, I1, I2.
- The 2nd round is played from Week 5 to Week 8.
- For Pool Q, R, S, T, the top 3 teams advance into two 3rd round groups (Pool W, X) of six,
with results not carrying forward.
- The #4, #5 teams in Pool Q, R, S, T and the #1 teams in Pool M, N, O, P advance into two 3rd round groups (Pool U, V) of six.
- The 3rd round in Pool W, X is the same as the 2nd round of current system.
- Four extra games on Friday to determine the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers:
The #4 teams in Pool W, X (W4, X4) vs The #1 teams in Pool U, V (U1, V1) (random).
The #3 teams in Pool W (W3) vs The #5 teams in Pool X (X5).
The #3 teams in Pool X (X3) vs The #5 teams in Pool W (W5).

Week 14
Final 2 teams + 4 SCQ x 1 team
On Friday
Semifinal 4 teams (#1#2) + 4 QfSCQ x 2 teams (#3#5#4 + #1)
Week 9-13
2 Pools x 6 teams (#1#2#3) + 2 Pools x 6 teams (#4#5 + #1)
Week 5-8 (keep record)
4 Pools x 6 teams (#1#2) + 4 Pools x 6 teams (#3#4)
Week 2-4
12 Pools x 4 teams

Pros:
- Improve the tough advancing ratio: 2/8 in the 1st round.
- 24 teams in 3rd round.
- Improve the qualifications for the Second Chance Qualifiers.
In the simple case: absolutely top 8*, the top 8 teams have a higher chance of qualifying for the Second Chance Qualifiers.

Cons:
- The number of pools is too many.
