You have a really good player with good potential that means perfect height for being a SF, age and skills to train also his potential is good enough.
I dont really know what you train, but if you want my advice, you can have in 1-2 seasons a really good SF playing from the inside and this kind of players works pretty well with this game engine.
You could train his OD to a minimum of 9 and then turn to JS in SF-PF(a bit), give also 1vs1 in SF-PF and also give inside skills. You can train it in the order you want. Also if you like, training passing is a good idea and 1-2 trainings of JR is also ok, so he improve in shooting from outside.
Anyway, you have a really good chance to make a good inside SF, at the begining its hard to see his performance, but after the result of training inside SF's is really good, you will have a player, able to defend nice from the outside-inside, he will be able to rebound more easy than others SF and will score also easy from the inside, because its really high you face a good inside defender in SF normally.
Last but not least, if you train him as a SF, on the transfer market this player will have really more value than the player you can train as a PF. Inside SF can easilly be sold for more than 6M because its hard to find good players with high inside skills and having enough OD to play as a SF.
