I Have a shooting guard that i bought 5 weeks ago and i have trained 3 weeks on passing and 2 weeks on rebounding and he has not popped once and has been playing atleast 60 minutes each week. He is only 21 and i have a level 10 trainer. He is the only player on my roster who has not improved. Why is this.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

He is 6"2 and already a respectable in both rebounding and passing when i got him. My backup point guard in that same time has improved 1 pop in rebounding, handling, driving, and passing. Is there a hidden factor about how hard they train. I also have a level 10 trainer.

Not very definitive, I'm afraid, but here's some anecdotal evidence from training jump shot for my entire team - they're all relatively young, and at the start of this season my shooting was so poor I decided everyone needed training.

After four weeks of training JS for the whole team, I've had 11 pops. 9 in JS and 2 in JR. One player (playing at SF but with skills for a SG) has popped twice in JS in the first and fourth week, but no-one else. Only a couple of players have popped in both skills. No other pops. Eight of the pops happened to players who'd accumulated more than 48 minutes in that week, three to players with less (28, 37, 41) - which to me suggests that the penalty for getting less than 48 minutes isn't that great.

With a squad of 16 players I've had some not see any pops at all, but my team's shooting percentage has improved significantly, especially in taking 3FG.

The only player who has consistently received more than 48 minutes yet not seen any pops is 24 years old. It's a shame cos he's my best PF and gets the most minutes every week!

Clearly it's difficult to compare like with like, given that each week I play different opponents, but my 3FG percentage the week before I started this training was 13%. SInce then it has been 31%, then 25% then 35% then 23%. Overall my shooting has improved from around 30% to nearer 40%. This week I've switched to 1v1 training, and despite playing the top team in England yesterday, we shot 25% from outside the arc, and 37% overall. We lost, but I can't complain.

My inside shooting is now the issue which is letting down my team, so the experiment has to end while I switch to other training.

My conclusions are that it is worth training the entire team, if your entire team is young (or nearly). There's some kind of variable in the training speed, since one player popped JS at a rate of 3 weeks, but no-one else did, and some players didn't pop in 4. However, most players did pop in at least one skill during 4 weeks, suggesting that pop times should be on average less than 8 weeks, certainly for JS. If you want to improve individual players for selling this clearly isn't profitable, but if you need to improve your whole team in order to compete in your league I think it is worth doing. I know that's controversial, though.

Its been a while and wanted to check as I have read so much but some of the basics havent still sunk in!

Stamina, FT & Form... (Team training)

I know that it doesnt matter whether you have a lvl 1 or 10 trainer this trains at the same speed BUT has the training time of this also been faster this past season and will the training speed of these also slow down after the next update?

Also, what do people think of the following; Will a team with 10 players on the roster have their players train the same speed or faster than a team with 30 players on the roster if they select one of the above regimes?

Then what about team RB/Passing training - is this minute based? If not, do you think the speed of improvement is same or more for teams again with smaller rosters..
ie can you buy 10 players and get the same benefit or would you be better to stick with your original roster size...?

I think im right in saying that the other skills are all minute based so wouldnt matter how big the roster is. you have a maximum 720mins to divide amongst your chosen players.

Is FT training linked to ingame practice? 24mins like stamina or 0?

Lastly, do stamina or FT levels effect salary?

Inside Scoring
C/PF/SF:
Trains IS @ 3-4 weeks
Trains ID @ ?
Trains JS @ ?

In the time I trained Inside Scoring (I've moved onto Rebounding for a short while), I had a SF pop after 4 weeks, then after 3. Same story with a PF.

However the two players who popped were 20 years old (not 18/19). Coach is a level 9.

As for team rebounding or passing etc. It's got to be minute based. It works just like the other things where all the guys in the positions need to get at least 48 minutes for full training.

None of this is fact though. Just a educated guess.

No, that IS fact.
