An odd coincidence... but that's what happens sometimes.

Is there a way to narrow it down to teams?

well, if you want to start a "best teams in D.IV" thread, be my guest.

But I can do team awards again:

Most Improved League: IV.55 jumping from a robust 109 rating in Ssn 21 to this season's Chuck Norris 140 rating

Most declined League: IV.8 plunging from a weak 93 rating last season to a new basement wimpy 67

Highest Ranked Team: N.Y Apple in IV.14 (again) at CR 133

Best Offense: heat3 in IV.17 with 130 ppg against teams in their weak league on account of their their blistering RNG attack

Best Defense: The Coolness Factor in IV.43 allowing opponents from their stout league only 58 ppg against a suffocating mix of defensive schemes

Best Point Differential: The Coolness Factor in IV.43 again besting opponents from their stout league by an average of 48 ppg

Highest Ranked Undefeated Team: Nubsarehere in IV.20 15-0 and ranked 173 in the nation

Deepest League: IV.18 with an average CR of 647, a full 386 ranks above the average for all of D.IV.

Many of us would like to know which teams are the strongest in D.IV. Ranking every strong D.IV team is very difficult to do.

Do we go by Buzzerbeater rank or by team stats or by strength of roster? Won-loss records and PD is not good because of different levels of competition within D.IV.

We have had many good teams come out of our “easy” IV.8. It is not a reflection on some of us that can compete in many strong D.IV leagues.

Our champion from Season 16 is currently ranked 17 in the USA.

We currently have 3 good teams in the Great 8 that would do well in other D.IV leagues.

Alright... posted something. (235078.1)

I think that country ranking is the best way to determine team toughness. Sure it weighs the cup more than league play, but the cup is the only place where inter-league play happens.

But please also, don't take the league ratings too seriously. Like I said, they're very subjective. And just because a league isn't terribly tough, there can still be hard-fought battles for the top positions with great teams on both sides. Also, league toughness can vary a lot from season to season. Some leagues get as many as 6-7 new managers in a season. That can change a lot quickly.

I was going to argue for d.39 to go higher... But then an 10-8 5th place team went not. Sticking a poor guy who thought and press released he'd win vs the 2 seed in a d.iv league he has no chance of winning in and will almost undoubtably get smeared next season too before he can finally relegate. Meanwhile on the other side teams 3-7 are all still within 1 game of each other at 9-10 and 8-11. Which makes me think its a deep league or at very least competitive

And another team bites the dust. The Russian Rays have just been replaced by a guy with two startup players I would've killed to begin with. One is a 6'2 MVP Guard and the other is a 6'10 PAS Big.

Why do you care about fewest points allowed?

Not trying to be annoying, just wondering why you care about the stat. I see you point though. After only 2 full seasons of BB, being one of the top defensive teams of D.IV list is pretty snazzy.
