Any deficiencies in the offence would not explain why our defence was so shite. They're different sides of the ball. And in any case, we may have struggled at the three point line, but our overall shooting was fine, and when you score 92 points on a true shooting of 54%, you usually expect to win or at least keep the game close considering the slow pace of this game and how difficult it can be to score at times in this game's engine in particular. Especially against NT quality defence.
The PF is more of an inside SF, so his outside skills are better than you might have credited him for, but yes, that would explain the three point struggles. If anything however, he should've helped us defend Taiwan better since Taiwan's strategy was to pound it inside all game and we had a third defender with good ID in the starting five.
And three of the best Point Guards in the country coughed the ball up a combined eight times, whilst the entire Taiwan team only gave it up three times despite a lower offensive flow rating...
