I think they both have to be serious, or they both have to be funny. Especially given the room for interpretation when reading. One and one could backfire quicker than that "stimulus" bill good ol' GWB did before he left office.

I suggested "Come play with an asshole named Juice", but that didn't get a lot of consideration.

Dude, you just totally swore on here. What kind of a d!cknosed piece of sh!t dumbs himself down with foul language?

I like the idea using famous coach quotes. Is that legal?

“Most people have the will to win, few have the will to prepare to win.”

"Basketball is like war in that offensive weapons are developed first, and it always takes a while for the defense to catch up. "

Best suggestion I've heard so far (from some unnamed GM who can't even top 65 in Pop-a-Shot):

"I play in the biggest and best basketball manager game in the world. Why don't you join me?"

At least in bowling I, er, never mind.

For what it's worth, I would prefer the quotes on the front page to be real quotes in some way. Something like "the biggest and best basketball manager game in the world" is completely meaningless (to me, at least). Anyone can say that. Granted, I'm probably more skeptical than most, but that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that the game is any good. (Note: It *is* really good. Otherwise, I wouldn't pay for it.)

Has this game been reviewed anywhere? I think a better hook would be something like "Magazine X rated us the best whatever game. Join and see what the fuss is all about."

What would you prefer, "get off my lawn old man"?

That seems reasonable - any suggestions for what we might do instead?

I really am happy to change this, but I'm looking for some better suggestions. :)

Avoid much slang - it should be understandable for people from around the world. So british like english, not many popculture hints etc.
