I understand Wolph's frustration with farms.
Having said that i believe that his suggestion would also hit many players that are playing the game fairly.
He's trying to balance real life game with virtual in a very abrupt and "dangerous" way.
Of course this would be ideal in any aspect of BB, but his suggestion towards being more realistic is held back by the game's fundamentals.
It would be doable if the salary of a player didnt rely purely on his skilset, but mainly his age, division, experience, team etc. It would be doable if at the same time, you could have a player under contract.
Hell, i came into this game, wanting to(and semi-did) buy a team consisted only of 18-21year olds and work with them for years until reaching league 1,title, BB3 and so on.
Soon i realised that this is IMPOSSIBLE in this game, even if you have a combination of Phil Jackson's knowledge of the real game and BB-Marin's knowledge of BB's game engine.
We have to adjust to what we have and make realistic suggestions according to it.
BB has taken some action in order to detect cheats. Obviously its not enough and more needs to be done.
An action i would like to propose being added, is simple, easy to intoduce and would likely bring us one step closer to our goal, without affecting the game and its users(apart from cheats) negatively, goes like this:
Make a rule(like salary floor), that nobody can have a player(domestic or foreign), costing him more than 50% of his total players salaries.
I believe it would make it very hard to farm train beyond U21(at first) level and at the same time it would protect new users from costly mistakes that very often lead them to quit the game soon.
If a player goes, at any point, over 50%, his team will have 2 weeks to either sell him or buy extra/ more expensive players, in order to be in line with the rule.
After two weeks, if criteria is not met, the player goes automatically on the TL.
With examples i've already witnessed in my short time in the game, we wouldn't see:
* a division III farm team, somewhere in the East, having a 275k/week domestic NT player and 7-8 scrubs
* a division V team, that i played a friendly with, having a 145k/week foreign Center in a 180k/week roster, heading straight for disaster.
