I understand Wolph's frustration with farms.
Having said that i believe that his suggestion would also hit many players that are playing the game fairly.
He's trying to balance real life game with virtual in a very abrupt and "dangerous" way.
Of course this would be ideal in any aspect of BB, but his suggestion towards being more realistic is held back by the game's fundamentals.
It would be doable if the salary of a player didnt rely purely on his skilset, but mainly his age, division, experience, team etc. It would be doable if at the same time, you could have a player under contract.
Hell, i came into this game, wanting to(and semi-did) buy a team consisted only of 18-21year olds and work with them for years until reaching league 1,title, BB3 and so on.
Soon i realised that this is IMPOSSIBLE in this game, even if you have a combination of Phil Jackson's knowledge of the real game and BB-Marin's knowledge of BB's game engine.

We have to adjust to what we have and make realistic suggestions according to it.

BB has taken some action in order to detect cheats. Obviously its not enough and more needs to be done.
An action i would like to propose being added, is simple, easy to intoduce and would likely bring us one step closer to our goal, without affecting the game and its users(apart from cheats) negatively, goes like this:

Make a rule(like salary floor), that nobody can have a player(domestic or foreign), costing him more than 50% of his total players salaries.

I believe it would make it very hard to farm train beyond U21(at first) level and at the same time it would protect new users from costly mistakes that very often lead them to quit the game soon.

If a player goes, at any point, over 50%, his team will have 2 weeks to either sell him or buy extra/ more expensive players, in order to be in line with the rule.
After two weeks, if criteria is not met, the player goes automatically on the TL.

With examples i've already witnessed in my short time in the game, we wouldn't see:

* a division III farm team, somewhere in the East, having a 275k/week domestic NT player and 7-8 scrubs

* a division V team, that i played a friendly with, having a 145k/week foreign Center in a 180k/week roster, heading straight for disaster.

Your fight against the current structure of national teams is like the fight against doping. You may be able to catch a few cheaters using multiple teams and creating players for the national team but it's not going to solve the problem. Even you actually drew a parallel with cycling and Armstrong's scandal. But it's well-known that everyone used doping back then. Ullrich admitted to having used doping but he said that he wasn't cheating cause everyone did that. And that's exactly the case here: all the competitive national teams use farming and they will no matter what. Unless, of course, your suggestion goes through and we'll have national teams with only homegrown players. This would not only punish many teams that have trained NT players but would also be utterly stupid. After all, would you go and watch someone run 100 meters in 15 seconds just because you can be certain that he has never ever used doping?

So maybe we should accept the system we have now and just move on with it. Accept the fact that there are teams that create players specially for NT and NTs use them in order to become the best in the world. And it's also interesting for others to see countries using the best possible players to win instead of seeing some weak home-grown players. The NT system works right now, tweaking it would be okay but redefining would be dumb.

My point is that there is no point to fight against those multiaccounts cause the problem will still be there. I see what you are trying to do but all it would probably achieve is that those multiaccounts will keep their trainees so that they'd be NT eligible. There will still be players creating specialized players for NT- some will be cheaters, some will be real managers trying to create the best player they can. I am in fact training 2 of my own draftees. I try to make them the best i can, using a lvl 5 trainer and doing one position training. However, I can't be sure that I'll keep them till they get old. I'd like to but many things could happen that might force me to sell those guys. At the same time, there will be a farmteam somewhere that has trained exactly like i have that now has to sustain the salaries of a NT player cause he needs to keep him homegrown and his player will probably get to the NT before my guys.

One way or another, farmteams are here to stay. The players in NT might become more salary efficient and have well-rounded skills but nothing would change in the big plan. All your change could do is even up the level of national teams cause it will be easier to train NT players in micronations. Maybe that was your intention all along? Japan would certainly be stronger, there are a few great managers in Japan that could make great players, either with their own team or a farm.

Your change will not eliminate cheaters, they'll merely have to adopt to the new rules.

top teams can hard pay top salaries in large countries. And, yes, concept of "small" nation is relative: from Italian perspective, only 6-8 nations are not micro.
