Kitties did jump from fifth to second in game 11, but likely only a temporary thing.
The Great 8 will continue to be Cheek as the lone man in a league of boys. They have the conference title wrapped up - the rest of us are just arguing over finishing order/trying to avoid relegation.

https://youtu.be/XypVcv77WBU nothing like the wild ride coming to the blues for the stretch run. Cal is standing down, as is Deronimo. Ladson continues to conjel. Blackgate does have a leg up like a dog at a fire hydrant but are by no means infallible while Mighty and the Boro will also have a say in the proceedings. And on the bottom I think in many ways Cal is going to try and complete the collapse. Deronimo has not quite gone to the same extremes as there are enough pieces left to avoid relegation but not enough to stay in the playoff hunt. Yet in the end with the exception of exile Cheek is in full charge damn the torpedoes mode.

and about conference disparity, odd seering witchita 7th seed and will demote, but would have been 2nd seed and making playoffs on the other side since he currently hase same record as #2


And my Kitties are very very happy to be #2 in the Great 8, rather than #7 in the Big 8. If you look over some of the past interleague matchups, there have been nights in which Cheek is the only Great 8 team to win!
