(A collage of images of various teams and players pass)

Announcer: as the slaughterhouse returns from the all Star break and the schedule whittles away the competitors clash with seedings and survival on the line each time out.

Tonight our coverage takes us to the litter box where club red head fiercekittens come face to face with the leagues hottest team in the bulldogs who are riding a ten game streak.

The Mavs seek to hold serve at home and to solidify their postseason standing as they face a Generals squad which is trying to play their way back to within reaching distance of the upper division of the blue bloods.

The bunnies seek to hold onto their now unsure grip on the seven spot with a trip to Harrisburg.

And the bunnies better hold on as the Shocks get the free lap against the claws

Deronimo seeks to keep pace in the win column against the Nasties.

Sparty has a dangerous trip to Atlanta on tap to face a dream team seeking to slide back into the playoff picture.

The Exiles also get a Stern road test with a trip to the winners on tap.

And The Young Lions of Ladson take on a blizzards ball club hoping that the end results of the evening place them back on level ground in club red.

Plus tonight we have a travelog of the NoCo or what I guess should be called the No-PAC. Actually I was in Charleston yesterday on appointments (my territory is DC to ATL) and I was out in that area, I never knew it was a real arena! Having the road coming in named Darius Rucker Blvd is a nice nod, though Hootie itself blows ass, there are not that many bands I am hostile towards but they are one of them. As for the complex i didn't go in but did make sure to get a picture of the front, nice looking arena. I can visualize in the BB universe where the niiiccceee upper middle class
Lions fans are sauntering in decked out in their lavender and lemon gear. Generals fans on the other hand, particularly the bleacher bums show up in a bit more eclectic garb https://youtu.be/QK8mJJJvaes

It's not weeeeewwwww it's WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The more drawn out the better. And if there is a city that should name the street in front of the building after "The Nature Boy" it is in front of that venerable old girl on Lee St oops "Gate City Blvd". In the old days of Jim Crockett Promotion's/Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling the 'Boro was pretty much the last Saturday night show each month, seems the rotation went Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, Greensboro. But Atlanta and Greensboro is where most of the biggest deals went down. Man Flair had some unreal feuds play out there, from he and Wahoo McDaniel chopping each other into Oblivion, to the matches with Ricky Steamboat which were revolutionary at the time and which are still examples unequalled in terms of combining athleticism with ring psychology. To him carrying fat ass Dusty Rhodes for years, to his battle with Harley Race at the first ever Starcade which is what led the WWF to come up with wrestle mania. And then for what was the true coup de grace when the four horsemen were formed and there was a little band of fans on the front row coined "front row section D" who were the first fans to get into cheering the heel wrestlers and who so influenced the tenor of the crowd that the Horsemen used to refer to the Coliseum as their "home court".

Now if your going to play the ECHL card I can Trump that as well. The Greensboro Generals 2nd incarnation was as a ECHL franchise from the late 90's to mid 2000's, though the original version from the late 50's-mid 70's is the more fondly remembered version. Now when I was coming up we got a new team in the 80's called the Monarchs and since my mother did the plants at the Coliseum back then I got comped to them as much as I cared to go. Actually several of the players had day jobs with Mom so we were pretty ingrained in the organization. I take it the E is now as it was then, full fledged goonery, a fight disguised as a hockey match. Man those were the days, rivals like Raleigh, Roanoke, Charlotte and yes Charleston led to lots of five minute majors. But then the Monarchs moved up to the ACHL, changed to Carolina monarchs, bought in guys actually getting groomed for the show and while technically more proficient it was no where near as much fun. Then the Canes came along, they did play in the Coliseum those first two years while the Raleigh area was getting built. That actually was really cool, they were a flop at the gate so tickets were cheap and easy. Got to see Gretsky play when he was with the Rangers, got a single for $15 and moved down and snagged a seat on the 3rd row directly on the goal line and watched him collect a goal and two assists all of which occurred at that goal. Another memorable night is when I took a date to a playoff game against the Bruins and we ate shrooms beforehand, and what made it even more trippy is (and CC appreciate this) the Canes bought in "Crazy George" to fire up the crowd. I have been to hundreds of college football and basketball games, about a dozen pro football games, a couple of NBA games, probably a half dozen NHL games,ACC tournament, NCAA tournament, final fours, bowl games etc etc, and that is still to the day both of those are in my top 10 of memorable moments.

Sometimes this game pisses me off. Tonight was one of those nights, a 71-62 lead squandered in the final moments as McClain decided he was just gonna be a freaking hero. Son just what do you think your doing jacking the ball up 25 times? Every season I end up with a couple that I wish I had back, this is one of them.

Sparty is hitting the skids.

The dogs get scratched in the final seconds by the kittens, that was unexpected.

Ladson is rolling, they're a dangerous club now that they have figured out how to win on the road.

Exile just opened up a 50 gallon drum of whoop ass on the winners, they and Deronimo are separating from the field.

Good win for Harrisburg. Bad loss for the Shocks. How's it feel to get thumped by a corpse? Actually I know that feeling as WindWalker got me going out the door a few seasons back. but that guy's team still had talent, the claws are good awful. But that's why they play the game.

In the early morning shadows the sunlight reflects off the darkened window of the door of a travel bus as you hear the hiss of the airlocks give way and see the door open as the camera gives a first person perspective of entering the cabin.

Announcer: inter conference play has concluded and now time has come for the final stretch drive. Lots left to decide, but with each passing night opportunity slips away. HCA has been a driving force for many teams but the ability to get it done in hostile territory will tell the tale.

Deronimo is in flyover country trying to avoid a surprise from the mercurial shocks.

The Claws continue their current trek to insolvency with a trip to knock heads with the Nasties.

The Generals seek to solve their road woes though a trip to Cal makes for a mighty task.

Generals ownership however will be out in Dream country as your scribes work situation has necessitated a trip to the greater metro for the greater good of his work. Which means the gal who was responsible for that area quit in a huff and the owner called me to save the day. I tell you I am becoming the Winston Wolf of my industry. https://youtu.be/wWmRTjLRMfU The extra money for the endeavor is nice, though it will mean listening to the Carolina-dook game on a scratchy AM signal as i trudge back up i85

But I digress....

Harrisburg will also find itself in hotlanta squaring off against a Dream team hoping to sneak back in line for the final playoff spot in club fed.

The Mavs make their way to the litter box to face a kittens club on the cusp of putting the club red title into the black.

In tonight's featured matchup The winners and blizzards butt heads in a battle of two teams trying to right the ship.

The Exiles take a dangerous trip to the low country to face the roar of the surging Lions.

And the Bunnies invade the forum to take on a Sparty squad seeking to stop their recent skid.

Plus tonight Cybil the soothsayer returns to tell you what the stars say will happen over the final stretch drive. We have a recap of last week's all star festivities. All that and much more as it's the start of the final stretch edition of BB2NIGHT

A cache of images float by in slow motion expressing the agony and ecstasy of the nightly battles.

Cue: https://youtu.be/nOibETlxw8g

Announcer: And now the nights start to whittle down to a precious few as the fickle fingers of fate point towards each individual teams destiny.

Blackgate can now see the clearing at the edge of the dark forest that is the blues. Cal though has plans afoot to try and spring a surprise and to tighten the gap.

Deronimo seeks to right the ship after a head scratching loss to the shocks as the indomitable Lions come calling.

The bunnies and Shocks stare each other down in a game with relegation staring the loser square in the face.

The Macs seek to solidify their possession of a playoff position again a Dream team seeking to sneak back to the hunt

The Nasties and Harrisburg will face each other though nothing more than pride will be at stake as both are RL series bound

The claws officially botified with this week's financial update though they did go out in style with a buzzer beater dunk win over the Nasties this past Saturday night. But now they are rendered inept and easy pickings. First up to peck away at the corpse will be the winners.

The blizzards seek to circle the wagons with the top seeded kittens in town

And in Greensboro the Generals square off against Sparty as it is a must game for both.
