Wrong. I manage to have more than one interest in life ...

I take this to mean that you imply that I have no life, if that wasn't the intent, what was it?

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

4 months later nothing has yet changed.

Yesterday there were 2 voluntary walkovers in the Italian Serie A (plus 1 from an almost abandoned team). That ruins the fun of the game.

What is most fun is that you can give walkover, play TiE and still enjoy the rise of your enthusiasm :)

I don't have the time to read all the posts, so maybe this was already suggested.

Recently I saw a match where a guy played with 5 players. In the third quarter, one of them fouled out. He continued playing with 4 players and ended up winning the game. To me, this doesn't make any sense. I would like to see this type of a game be a walk over as well. In real life games you never see a team playing with 4 players, the game would automatically be forfeited.

I don't know how the NBA rules are, but in Europe a team can keep playing after foul trouble with 3 players on court.
I assume the minimum number of players to start a game with is 5.

This is what I found regarding the NBA rules:

In the NBA, there must be a minimum of 10 players on a team and a maximum of 15 players. Only 12 players can be active to play a game, and 10 players must be active with 5 starters and 5 reserves, or bench players. There are 5 from each team playing on the court at any one time. If a team does not have 5 players on the court, the team forfeits and the other team automatically wins.

FIBA rules state a minimum of 5 players to start the game. During the game a team needs at least 2 players able to play. That's the amount of players needed to bring back the ball into play after a score, foul or violation

Something has to be done with respecto to voluntary walk-overs.

The increasing number of walkovers is only slowed down because some managers don´t want to do this because we love the game and watching the live, and this is a handicap for us.

I have lost a match by 66 point, whereas other teams of my league willingly did not present a team.

What can we do?

I guess the BB team can easily know when a walk-over is voluntary or not.

1. They present only two players at the training positions.
2. They always play with TIE attitude.
3. They actually set a line-up with this configuration (instead of setting up 5 players who may eventually get injured).

Question is that the current balance is shifted towards the walk-over (more advantage than disadvantage).

In my opinion, someone thinking to do a walk-over would have to think it twice if:

1. They lose the training (even non-voluntary walk-overs would probably lose most of the training anyway).
2. They lose the TIE effect on enthusiasm. This is one of the things that make walk-overs so interesting.

I would not change the 0-25 result (maybe slightly up).

With this measures, taking a walk-over would not be 100% interesting, and I´m sure that WO will no longer be always the best option for some matches (only minoritary, so not a big problem as it is).
