I know very well that enthusiasm tend to go back to 5, but I checked it only a couple of hours after my TIE game took place. You can't possibly argue that tendency of enthusiasm to go back to its default level is so severe that in only a couple of hours effects of TIE are almost completely negated. I mean, at this rate there is almost no point in playing TIE. And I know for a fact that that was not the case in the past.
When I decided to TIE that game, I thought I was doing something smart, something that will benefit me in long term, but in reality all I did was help my opponent to land me the most embarrassing defeat of the season (-46) which had an immediate impact on my economy, and may I add, will most likely have just as severe effect on my future games attendance. And for what? Three days later I'm back to almost exact same enthusiasm level as I was before that TIE.
If this is indeed not a bug, but rather one of the normal features of new engine, BB should definitely reevaluate their latest decisions in that respect. I know, I know, it seems like I brag a lot, but just look around the forum.. do you see how many users are dissatisfied with the way this game engine works?

And one more thing.. you said, and I'll quote you:
Enthusiasm tend to go back to 5 and when you are only at 7, furthermore if it's a low 7, enthusiasm will not jump to high value. Then, you wait one day to see it go to 8, so there was already an enthusiasm update done.
Note that I put some of your words in Bold.

Now, this is copy-pasted from our game manual section:
Enthusiasm
You can decide how hard you want you team to try on any given day (except in a scrimmage, where your team is just going to try as hard as they normally do because the coach is watching). Your team has a baseline level of enthusiasm that they bring to the game, and the more enthusiastic your team is, the harder they will be able to play. You can also tell your team to try harder in an important game (Crunch Time), although they'll need some time to recover over the next week or two. Alternatively, you can Take it Easy in a game so that your team will be able to play harder in the future. In addition, your team's enthusiasm tends back towards the default value of 5 over time. The further away enthusiasm is from 5, the more quickly it will tend back towards 5. Enthusiasm will always reach 5 during the offseason.

Here I also put some words in Bold. Do you see where I'm going at with this?

You bolded the part about the CT when teams goes around 3-4 and have to wait relatively long time to go back at 5. It's exactly the same for those who are at 6-7 to go back at 5.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see your point here, even less so how does this contradict what I said in my post.

Edit: typo

Listen, it's not that I don't believe you; it's just that you're not being very convincing.
I can agree with you that what is written in manual should be taken with some reserve, but you must admit that there is quite a difference between "next week or two," as stated in manual, and your evaluation of "one day" as something that is perfectly normal. I'm sorry, but the margin of error there is just too great for you to say so confidently that there is nothing wrong with what happened to me.
As far as your statement "enthusiasm system has not changed since I got on the game 3 years ago" is concerned, I'll just say that I have been playing this game for a while myself and my experience is much different from yours. I would say that nowadays is much harder to maintain high enthusiasm than it was 10 seasons ago, but whatever; I guess I just don't have any other choice but to give up on this argument.

Edit:
But all that aside, I want you to know that I appreciate your time and effort in this matter. There is nothing worse than come here and be ignored. Which is, sadly enough, the case most of the time.

It seems to me it's just a case of the numbers being rounded, and therefore seeing a lesser impact than actually occurred.

For example, you could have started with a 6.6 enthusiasm (it would have showed as 7). After a TIE (which increases your enthusiasm by 33%), your enthusiasm would have been 8.77 (it would show as 9). Enthusiasm tends towards 5 at each daily update, which is usually a few hours after games, after the update it could conceivably be at 8.4 (it would show it as 8). So, while you did receive a boost in enthusiasm, it may have only shown it as improving from 7 to 8, while it could have improved close to 2 (although with a few more days until the next game, could be a bit lower).

Personally, I like the gradual improvements (I usually estimate an increase of 1 from one game to the next when TIEing), because there seems to be a pretty significant bonus to have higher enthusiasm.

That seems logical if we're to assume that my enthusiasm was indeed at 6.6 at the time, but if there is really nothing wrong with the way enthusiasm is being calculated right now, I can't see how that would be the case, because, with exception of one week, I have been TIEing regularly for past 5 weeks. Somehow, and you correct me if I'm wrong, I believe that should grant me a bit higher enthusiasm at the end of the day than just mere 6.6.

By regularly, do mean that you had TIE'd for all cup and league games for 5 weeks and it was still only at 7? Or during some games you did, and others you didn't? If it's the former, yes, your enthusiasm should be higher (probably around 11); if it's the latter, it could very well have been 6.6 or somewhere close to it depending on when you played normal and if you were still in the cup.

Just my observation, it seems like this is less a bug, and should lead more into a suggestion on changing how enthusiasm works (or changing the game manual wording if that's wrong), although I personally like enthusiasm the way it is now.
