We would see a very big expansion in the short term and a very steep decline long term.

A second team looked much more fun than it really is. I'll most likely won't extend my Utopia team, and many users have quit there, so...

I would go for 69 teams because it is the holidays and I'm in a giving mood.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

I've been playing for a long time. BB is a good game that doesn't take loads of time to understand or manage, and that's a good thing. I like the draft, I like the cost structure. Probably the only thing I would change is to tweak the training, but not a lot. I've done a lot of experimenting and I've found that about the only effective training is the "full" training. Any "percentage" training accomplishes quite a bit less over the course of a season. This is the only modification that would intrigue me. Offer a better multi-player training approach. Having said that, if those changes were complicated/difficult, I would say leave it as is. The training may not be perfect, but it's workable and it doesn't hurt the game. At things stand now, I have no plans to leave the game.

I would say replace the developer(s) instead and get someone who's able to get the job done.

Well that would be a businessmans solution. This is no business but a charity.

I started playing in the middle of the last season (although I played from season 3 til season 25 also, but got tired and went bot). In my opinion the starting assets are quite okay. I got 1 decent player (although I would admit, that the potential could be 1 or 2 levels higher, for this to be useful), bought couple more youngsters from market, trained em. From draft got one somewhat decent player, who probably sells for around 500k. Right now I have assets for about 1 decent player to buy from market. In 2 to 3 next seasons my trainees will be ready to compete for the spot in the II. div and by that time I have collected plenty of assets to buy them proper team-mates.

Right now I am fighting in Div. III and I can't say it is boring, yes there are some games I am not even trying to win, but on the other hand, there is a lot of games that I am capable of winning and it is quite interesting for me to figure out strategies for biting the much higher salary teams.

It is how it is in real life, you build your team from youngsters, trying to bite the "bigger teams" more and more, until you finally can bite em all.

You are a good example of a veteran user starting again from zero, so you know enough of the game to rebuild your team
But new users with zero experience are having more troubles and that' s the reason some things have to be changed so they can understand the game sooner and have enough fun to make them stay.

If you are only referring to the money - this might be true for teams that start in lower divisions, if you start in DIV II or even higher its not enough. If we include the 18yo All-Star, that should/could become the franchise cornerstone, the starting assets are laughable, the guy I got in Utopia is worth 1k after one season of training. Does not make me enjoy the game particularily.
