Suggestion #1
Another Employee - The Scouter
A Scouter will be the fourth member of your Staff. Generally Scouts have 7 levels of ability (just like the other members of your Staff):
minimal - you get info for 1 player per 3 weeks
basic - you get info for 1 player per 2 weeks
competent - you get info for 1 player per week
advanced - you get info for 2 players per week
superior - you get info for 3 players per week
exceptional - you get info for 4 players per week
world renowned - you get info for 5 players per week

Scouts do also have 2 special abilities:
- Youth Seeker (tends to scout more for 18yo players)
- Potential Seeker (tends to scout more for great potential players)

This way, every manager will pay at least the wage of a minimal Scout per week (~$2 300) for scouting.
Furthermore, many users will have a lot of information. So, the draft will be more realistic.

Suggestion #2
Height in Draft
Just when the Play-Offs start a list with the 48 picks will be shown to you. The better your scouter was, the more information you get. However, now, for every player you will be able to see from the first time his height. Here's a sample of a list:

Player 1 - SG - 4 Ball Rating - A - 3 Potential Rating - 18 Years Old - Short
(Box Score)

Player 2 - PF - 3 Ball Rating - B+ - 5 Potential Rating - 18 Years Old - Medium
(Box Score)

Player 3 - C - 5 Ball Rating - A+ - 2 Potential Rating - 19 Years Old - Tall
(Box Score)

Player 4 - C - 4 Ball Rating - A- - 5 Potential Rating - 18 Years Old - Short
(Box Score)

....

Player 17 - PG - 3 Ball Rating - Short
(Box Score)

Player 18 - SF - 4 Ball Rating - Tall
(Box Score)

Good suggestion, but they are revamping draft already. Do we need scouts after they have implemented a different way to use your draft points? That's the question. Although I would love to have another staffer instead of pumping constant money into the draft.

we get a new scout system, next season so maybe we should rest this thread till we see what is implented :)

The money who is spend today counts for the next draft so it is very unlikely that a scouter get parts of the staff.

I think that just because they are redoing it isn't a reason to stop coming with ideas about how the game can improve :)

so maybe the system which is coming is better then your suggestion(even for you), or it doesn't work with it anymore so i would keep it in mind and maybe suggest it after a view on the new system.

I like your idea of the scouter as staff, but I think it will give an advantage to higher richer div teams because lower poorer div teams wont be able to afford a level 6, and i think bad teams need more to draft a great rookie than hi teams.

If he get's a better scout he invests more money and for that money he get's more info. Just like it is now. But he still drafts last.
