Take a look at this game.http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/55985795/boxscore.aspx
Explain to me how my team's FG percentage was soo low and why my SG was 1-8 when his JS is stupendous and JR tremendous... This game is pissing me off.

Folks, I didn't expect to receive attention this way...First of all, I am sorry that I rarely pay attention to my line up these days as life is very busy. I just check the score tonight. I will make sure it's TIE going forward... As for the game, I am thinking this may be one of the reasons:

PG ($4K player): Outside Def.: wondrous
SG ($81K player):Outside Def.: legendary, Inside Def.: sensational
SF ($33K player): Outside Def.: tremendous

Still, I was surprised that I won the game.....and again, I am very sorry Kergillian and I hope this didn't cause you too much damage...

You played LI so your guards were only shooting from the outside as an absolute last resort when they couldn't drive to the hoop or couldn't pass the ball into your big guys. Hence, low percentages. Your guard being a great shooter isn't nearly as important playing a LI inside offense. What does his handle, passing, driving and inside shot look? Guards playing LI need those skills more than JR IMO.

So it's possible that you're playing LI offense with players that aren't built to succeed best in that offense. Looks like you beat the 1st place team using PTB yet started using LI after that game. I clicked on another game where this same guard went 5-5 from the arc and you played Princeton. That's an offense that suits his skill set better.

handle: wondrous

passing prolific

driving: wondrous

IS mediocre

ID inept

Reb mediocre

He had some decent skills. Does not amount to 1-8 shooting at home when i went with normal and my opponent went TIE.

Even if he had hit all of his threes you still would have lost.

His skills aren't bad for LI but even the top guards put up low FG% in this game over the long run. That's just a reality of the game engine. Every good guard in this game puts up 1 for 8's on a regular basis. But pointing to his JR as a reason why he should be making more shots playing LI is still flawed IMO.

Late to the party, but I'd openly expect this result. MB could've won this particular game by more than 21 and it wouldn't have sounded an alarm for me. The main uncertainty is the volatility in (mostly MB's) outside shooting.

MB had a decided offensive and defensive advantage and the total rebounding isn't unusual given the greater offence, defence, and much greater effort. MB's offensive rebounds are weird, but effort could be the equalizer there. SP's shot distribution and relatively abandoned-looking game plan is the weirdest thing to me. I've never noticed the AI to abandon game plans but judging by the 30 3-pt attempts, maybe it didn't. Maybe SP just benefited from offensive rebounds and good fortune, aided by playing against a $1k power forward and lucky fan centre.

edit: sorry, I just like games like this. used to box score hunt them.
