"The training exemption is the difference between the current overall salaries and the combined overall salaries of all players when they were acquired"

This is how they define the training exemption.

Now what you said:

"all the game engine does is this: it asks how much salary YOU added through training. period. and that number will be exempted from the tax."

You couldn't possibly derive this conclusion from their definition. You derived it by common sense: because it's called training exemption, it must calculate how much salary you added though training. By reading BBs definition, you can easily conclude that vets salary drops affect your training exemption negatively.

And that's why other posters asked about it.

Loving the changes, well done. You guys have obviously really hashed things out, which is excellent to see.

Teams will still tank and save up but it will make it more difficult for them to remain competitive.

There was a change that I'm sure other BB users would enjoy, too.

If you could somehow find a way to make bench players more important/valued. I'm sure you (vous) can come up with something.

Again, thanks. Super elated about the changes.

QUESTION: Somewhat urgent

I trained a player back in the day(season 13,14,15,16.17) and he became a beast. I bought him when he was 19 and then his salary was 9K. So yesterday I am shopping in the bin and I see him(now he is 31 but still good)....Now his salary is 102K, when he left my team it was 89K.
Actual question:
If I were to buy him now, how much training exemption would I get?
Would I get the 80K for what I trained him before? Would it be 0?
He comes off the bin later today....So some answers would be cool.
Thanks.

And please.....Only answer if you are 100% sure of you answer. I am hoping a EGM or a BB can answr this.

Their price will go even lower and a lot of them will be fired by their owners because it will be cheaper for them to fire a player, then to pay another weak of salaries for him.

This was already happening before introduciton of overextension tax. Oh, and you can't fire NT players. If you buy him and you can't sell him, you are stucked with him until someone buys him or he's not a NT player anymore (and you can fire him).

Yeah, but the prices of high salary NT player will go even lower, especially now, because newbies who dont know how the game works, cant buy high salary players anymore, and ruin their teams:D(which happened often in the past). So there will be even smaller demand for high salary players, which means lower prices of them, and that makes buying 5-6 high salary players just for playoffs even cheaper. And that is something BB developers tried to make more expensive with this change:/ So, as always, when you fix one thing, you ruin something else... Circle of life:D

And my mistake, I didnt know you cant fire NT player, never had one before:D

I am mostly agree with the T26 changes , but I am not sure if I will have to pay the tax in this situation.

Now I have not to pay the OE Tax, but this season, I will play two weeks without home court games, so these weeks my team will not earn enough money and probably I will have to pay the tax.

So I think if this is true that the tax is not fair because in these weeks I will have not attendance income and I will have to pay the tax.

you won't have attendance, but your last attendance income will be part of the whole calculation. and as long as you stay out of debt you won't have to pay the tax.

The income / expenses that are involved are the ones you will see in the Baseline Weekly Economy in the MMT page. So yes, this excludes transfer proceeds, cup income, etc. These cashflows are relatively uncertain so when trying to run a sustainable franchise I believe its a better idea to see these as extra income. Btw, also logistically it would be a mess include tax on win expectations for cup matches later the week and it would miss its purpose since including it would mean teams in lets say the quarter finals would suddenly be able to pay $100.000,- more salary than teams who are not. This would create nasty imbalances, of course.

- If I trained a player from 5k to 80k, sold him, bought him back seasons later: will he count to my training exemption?

You will not get a training exemption from it, the starting moment for the training exemption is when you buy it for the 2nd time.

- If I trained a player from 5k to 80k, keep him till he's 33. He's got some skilldrops. At 34 his salary is 60k: what will count as my training exemption?

60k.

Cheap NT players were the ones who were inefficient for their salary. They cost up to 200k, and now they will cost up to 50k. No big deal since they are affordable in both cases. Don't forget those players will need at least two weeks after they were bought to gain Proficient Stamina.

Good NT players though will always be expensive, even if they have high salary, because they will be sought after by managers from same country. Merchandise boost is not that small for 200k+ players.
