why do u need 3 Cs?

look inside is so totally busted now all any team should do is play look inside 100% of the time

hey surprise lots of the top teams do

there is no counter except play li yourself

there is no way to slow it down except score more by playing look inside yourself

all every single team in bb should do is sell all the guards they spent the last 6 seasons training and buy big men with very high inside shot cause the bbs refuse to fix this problem even though every player in the game knows it (although some deny it cause they dont want everyone to catch on)

stupid me though upping the defences on your big men could actually help

or having great enthusiasm

or having better game shape than your opponent

or tricking them with tactics they werent expecting

but it doesnt matter what you do there is only one thing you need

buy bigs with very high inside shot and play look inside 100% of the time

you dont need to think or plan or scout your opponents just set a default lineup, train game shape, tie every game & unless you are against another look inside team you win & you probably only need to even log in once a month

rather pathetic that this great game has degenerated to this while the BBs have their heads in the sand (or somewhere else) and deny it is a problem saying it is the players faults cause every team doesnt have bigs with 18 shot blocking

Who is preventing you to play LI? I looked at the game and your players. Are you sure his PF shooting 16-20 wasnt your team skills fault? Your SF in game has ID 2, your starting C was fouled out and replaced with 9k backup. No real help defence there to help stop that PF. Even if they came to help on defence, there was no way they could stop a decent inside scorer.
Using motion you can obviously have the same results if the opponent lacks in OD at a certain spot. (36141805)

Sorry, I'm jumping in here a little late. I'm actually tempted to slide this thread to the BB Global Forum since I'm not sure what the suggestion is here, but I'll leave it here for now.

Anyway, the real question I want to ask here is, would anybody suggest that using a three-center lineup is a good strategy? Is is something to try only if you are desperate? Or it is just a really bad idea that only works against bad teams or team that are heavily loaded with outside-oriented players and/or a player at the SF with poor ID and more likely to accumulate fouls?

I've seen the occasional conjecturing with a box score thrown in here or there, but I really would like to see a solid argument one way or another. I personally ran a 3C lineup out last week out of desperation (my regular starting SF is injured) in a game I figured I was probably going to lose anyway. My C playing at SF seems to have done okay, but he went against maybe the best "true SF" in my league and I wish I had a better outside defender in the position in retrospect. Do you all think I should expect better results if I try this again because it's a really good strategy, or did I get lucky that the game didn't go worse for me and it's generally good idea not to run a 3C lineup? I would like to see some real logical breakdown, maybe backed up by some data and statistical analysis. Maybe some serious nerds will chime in here.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

maybe his pf going crazy was my teams fault

my sfs id shouldnt be an issue, i played man2man and there werent any examples of his pf shooting over my sf

my pf is a good defender for this standard of league probably a bit above average - obv my backup pf is below average - thats why hes the backup & every time he was on their pf scored on him easily

no-one is preventing me from playing look inside that is why i am selling 1/2 my team and will be making a look inside team myself for next season - if u cant beat them join them - the game engine is obviously broken in favour of look inside so i am selling the guys i have had for seasons and ill just play the way everyone else does and win more

see problem solved :P

LI is strong and 2-3 weak because of BB's overall talent pool. Also 2-3 is not a natural counter to LI, especially if you don't have the right personnel. In order to counter two great big men, it's better to have two great ID guys and play m2m. Just as it would be in real basketball.

I actually think today's best LI attacks are very easy to counter, and in a few seasons LI will no longer be the "best" tactic in the game as cross-trained players balance the talent pool. It already isn't the best tactic in BB, it's just that not enough people are doing the right things to stop it.
