very good teams here and was just lucky.

If there were still attendance money for game 3, I might have considered the CT given that my chances to win the tiebreaker were low. As it stood, I pretty much had to maximize my chance (small though it was) of winning the series, and that meant trying to bank all the enthusiasm I could for game 3 and then hoping for a hot shooting game with the Princeton Mess o' Doom(tm).
If nothing else, I get further proof for my theory that the game just doesn't care about how good or bad your players' skills are or how they are performing when figuring out the shot distribution. In no world whatsoever would a team shooting a higher percentage from 3 than 2 keep forcing jumpers and drives instead of jacking up more threes.
